Hot Chocolate Sparrow

I've been waiting years to try Hot Chocolate Sparrow and I finally had my chance on our most recent Cape Cod trip in October of 2021. We ordered the Frozen Hot Chocolate and a baked ham, white cheddar and honey mustard sandwich. I thought the frozen hot chocolate could have used a little more chocolate flavor, it wasn't as rich as I would have liked. The sandwich was good and was a good sized portion to share if you're just looking for a quick snack. Good place, but it wasn't all that I had hoped for. I didn't have any of their chocolates so I can't comment on them. I would probably return to try something new but I wouldn't go out of my way to come. I'm going with four star instead of three mainly because it's a very cool place and has a some good options.

I've been to Hot Chocolate Sparrow three times in September of 2022.

The cinnamon roll was delicious with plenty of cinnamon and sugar in a wonderfully flaky roll. The icing was almost superfluous and this coming from an icing fan. The hot chocolate was also good.

I've also had the chocolate croissant and while good, it was not special.

The truffles and bark from the chocolate section were a special treat. The super dark chocolate truffle was great for those who truly like the less sweet nature of dark chocolate. The standard dark chocolate had none of the bitterness and may have had a slightly creamier filling. Both are recommended.

Super cute and cozy store ! Had the Mocha Sparrow and some of their pastries, the fudge was phenomenal. Would highly recommend for any visitors to check it out because of the coffee/hot Chocolate drinks and all the candies / pastries !

Love this place. The hot chocolate is perfect, not too thin and not too thick. The hot chocolate is the right amount of sweetness and you can tell it is made with milk not water. Absolute perfection! The candy side of the store has a decent selection with specialty chocolates, chocolate is different shapes (cameras, animals, cellphone, etc.), fudge, and gummies.

I visited Hot Chocolate Sparrow during a visit to the Cape, and it was honestly a dream come true. I love dessert, especially chocolate ones, and I couldn’t believe the case of treats that I saw when I walked in. We picked out a few chocolate treats that were very rich and filling, but so good. From now on I will definitely stop here when I’m in the Cape, and I can’t wait to try more of their selection!

4.5 stars. Very quick service, delicious treats. My husband loved his Boston Cream Cake. The Tiramisu has very good flavor. The bottom layer of tiramisu was a bit heavy on the coffee, as it was soaked, but overall very good. I’m just being super picky about the tiramisu. All of the chocolates looked tasty!

Good. Lots of choices of ice cream, chocolate, frozen and cold drinks, hot and iced drinks, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, bagels, and plenty of candy. The place was packed on this summer Saturday night (of course) with all seats taken, standing room only.

My favorite coffee shop/bakery on Cape Cod! Great variety of coffee, hot chocolate, juices, baked goods and sandwiches. There is also a candy section. Also ice cream. Everything offered here is top quality (and reasonably priced). Can eat indoors or outside (seating, picnic tables). Great staff.

Unfortunately I think we had bad luck, muffins and cheese cake was not fresh at all. The guy at cashier with curly hair not so friendly too.
