Muffin House Cafe

Muffin House in Mendon is my go to spot for coffee. The staff is great and everything I have tried has been delicious. They're often busy because it is so good so I always call ahead or order online if I am getting sandwiches or need a specific pastry order for work. Highly recommend. Your taste buds will thank you.

Generally a great place for food and coffee, haven’t really had anything that wasn’t good from there in the times I’ve visited. However, that was not the case today. Since most of the items don’t list what is in them I asked the girl taking orders what was in the Cajun chicken wrap. She clearly looked like she didn’t know, then hesitated and said Cajun chicken ..yeah I figured based on the description in the title 🤦🏻‍♀️Then I asked what comes in it already and she said whatever you want , instead of going to check.. so I took her word for it. I then just asked for lettuce, tomato, and onions in it. Well I got my order didn’t look until after leaving and what do you know there’s bacon and cheddar cheese inside! I have a dairy intolerance that is actually very sensitive as I get sick, and had I been told that it came this way I would have not ordered that or asked for without. I also don’t eat bacon anymore and I do know what it’s supposed to look like cooked and the pieces in there were basically raw, assuming the white color gave that away. All of this would have been fine if when I called they simply would have apologized and even bothered to ask me what happened in that situation . But no I called and she simply said do you want me to remake it ? No I don’t and I ordered something else (to which had lesser value than the $9 item I couldn’t even eat). The egg sandwich I ordered said in it “egg whites” but what a surprise I got regular eggs in my sandwich. Maybe simply telling me that they no longer had egg whites available I would have understood . So ultimately training the staff better would help, actually be communicative and an apology for the mistake would have sufficed, but didn’t get one on the phone when I called or when I came back (which was an inconvenience to me) to get my new order . Disappointing , despite that they are all very friendly on all occasions. Just say sorry next time!

Go there 2, sometimes 3 days a week.... breakfast wraps are crazy good, great selection of coffee, and of course the "of the hook"muffins... hard working and very pleasant workstaff..... a must try!!

Muffins are out of this world delicious. My 1 rating this time is for the very poor service i received. Coming here x2 weekly service is always great. This time a new worker completely ignored me and helped the women behind me. Odd cause of social distancing i was clearly next. I told customer behind me and she went up and told girl and she said oh well what else can i get you. After complete she started wiping counter down delaying even longer and then came and asked me what i wanted. I expressed my disappointment. I will take a few weeks off from going. Clearly she wont last there was her service so different then all of the friendly others.

Wow, I'll take one of each please! Loved the throwback Hostess cupcakes! Had to get the kids the specialty oreo brownie and oreo mini cheesecake. I was all about the caramel topped mini cheesecake!

Great coffee and bagels. Great with Covid safety even when they're busy

The people are nice! my friends and I got three desserts and out of the three, only one was delicious (lemon square), the other 2 was an eclair and a cookie sandwich, did not taste fresh at all, tasted like it was left in the freezer too long. Got a butterscotch iced coffee and it tasted like a flavor shot, which I'm personally not a fan of.
