Great coffee - the BEST in MA - lovingly roasted in small batches! At Christmas, my family looks forward to getting the coffee; it's such a treat! Fair trade, and without the pricetag of boutique coffee. If you are hungry, it's a great place for anything from a snack to a full dinner. My brother has eaten all over the world, and he had a salad, and he said it was the best salad that he had EVER had! Oh, and you MUST have an iced coffee there; Best I have ever had!

I've been coming here for years and I absolutely love this place. It just keeps getting better especially now that they have their own garden and can supplement their vegetables and herbs, farm to table. Today I was lucky to be sharing a meal with someone who likes to split their food so we ordered the Tupelo hash as well as the breakfast burrito and had half of each. Exquisite! I also highly recommend the lavender latte which is only available for a very short period of time. Worth the trip!

One of the best breakfast, brunch cafes we've ever been to. Everything is fresh and perfectly prepared. There are bags of organic coffee beans lining the space between the ordering counter and the dining areas. We have breakfast there anytime we are in the area. You'll love it!

This is truly my favorite spot in the valley. They have outdoor seating, great coffee, and a chill cozy garden vibe. The food here though is second to none. The salad is fresh and creative, and the grilled cheese/tomato bisque is to die for. I honestly don't like tomato soup, but here, I could eat it all day every day. Love this place.

A few days ago I took a couple of my family members that were visiting from out of town to ESSELON CAFE in Hadley, MA, since it was one of my favorite cafes. As we were looking through the menu I seen a MOUSE crawl under the cabinet. I stood there frozen and surprisingly didn’t scream (I am terrified of mice) we still decided to stay and I thought the best thing to do would be to tell the worker just in case they didn’t know. I didn’t want to make a scene and before ordering I pulled down my mask (my fault I admit) to speak as quietly as I could to let them know . The girl taking my order rudely told me “pull up your mask , we’re working on it!” Not even a slight apology. She took half our order and someone else had to finish it. Just leaving a review to say it’s doesn’t take much to be kind and considerate!!

My wife and I were looking for a place with decent coffee and ended up staying for breakfast. The place is attractive and comfortable feeling. It has inside, covered/three season, and outside patio seating. The landscaping is very nice, and a thick hedge cuts the noise from busy Russell St. I had a bagel & smoked salmon plate that was attractively presented with a salad and served with capers. My wife had a breakfast burrito that looked and tasted good. A lovely oasis!

My favorite coffee house in the area. Great atmosphere, comfortable decor, and the smell of fresh coffee is always inviting. The food is amazing, no cheap, but worth the price. An amazing place to meet with friends or colleagues, get some writing done, or sit with your favorite loved one over a wonderful meal and big glass of wine. A must visit!

A delightfully fresh find. Coffee roasters, yes, but their specialty drinks and full breakfast menu are cleverly created in this "Secret Garden" surroundings. Highly recommend dining in - and taking in the Sylvan surroundings while enjoying their tantalizing tastes. Their menu will satisfy foodies and non - foodies alike. Service is quick and friendly.

Coffee is amazing and the food is even better. Locally sourced ingredients and great atmosphere. They have the hardest working staff I’ve seen. This is my favorite breakfast spot.

The menu of hot beverages and delicious bites share their side offerings proudly. The teas are well steeped and diverse; the sandwiches and lunch goods delicious. Brunch looks great but the menu seems a bit pricey. However, the space is attractive and lively and despite being busy to the point of frustration it is still comfortable at peak hours.
