Been coming to Esselon Café for years. My family loves it here. Delicious brunch and excellent coffee. The seating outside is a delight and the staff is always incredibly friendly.

Fresh clean organic food and brunch. We really liked the atmosphere inside and out. The line was pretty long to order food since the coffee/cappuccino/espresso line and food line were the same ! We ate outside which was lovely and they bring your food out for you.

Very cute ambiance, and the coffee is spectacular. Can't wait to return and try one of those beautiful, tasty-looking breakfasts!

The food was okay i give it a 7/10 my only complaint was the service and atmosphere. My girlfriend and i spent 5 minutes waiting in front of the cafe waiting to be seated by a server. It wasn’t busy and A couple workers made eye contact but no one greeted us. It wasn’t until i asked a worker who was right next to me and had previously made eye contact with me(older man) whats the process of getting a table he told me to go upfront and order then i will be seated. I personally feel he could've told me that the moment he seen me walk in but he stood next to me and allowed me to waste my time. Also there is an older crowd of people there that are very nasty. I took a sip from my coffee because it was about to over flow after pouring milk into it and this older man almost caught a heart attack telling me to put my mask on. Just a number of interactions went sour for no good reason. Im willing to try this place again because the food was okay. Hopefully this was a one time thing.

The outdoor seating behind the trees is private and separates the spaCe from the road very well. When ordering, don't forget to buy a bag of vanilla powder- makes great steamers at home and also a nice creamer for coffee. The drinks are well made and are delicious. Worth a revisit.

Esselon is one of my favorite cafes in the Amherst area. They not only have fresh roasted coffee that's roasted in house, but they also have a large loose leaf tea selection. In addition to coffee and tea, Esselon has a fantastic breakfast and lunch menu. Many items can be made vegetarian or even vegan.
If tea or coffee isn't your thing, they also have a selection of local beers and wines.
Esselon is a must try in Amherst.

Sweet memories of my happy and careless student life at UMass! This cafe is one of a kind in this rural area. It is very European in everything: healthy food, friendly laid-back service and, of course, amazing coffee and desserts!

Great breakfast place! The food and coffee is fantastic and doesn't overfill you. They also were following guidelines really well. They had covered, spaced out, outdoor seating with heat lamps going so we weren't cold at all. We'll be eating here again for sure! (Pictured is their eggs benedict)
