This place has great coffee, food, and atmosphere! Try "The Local Buzz" if you find a "Chippi" too sweet.

This place is amazing with an awesome sense of community. They have videogames to play while you drink tour coffee or eat a snack. I loved this place and you will too!

I could not recommend this one-of-a-kind place more! Every person who walks in is treated like family. The staff is so understanding a patient, they have no problem helping you find something you would enjoy. Their memory is impeccable, we went in there once and asked to try something new and the barista remembered every drink we tried that season and made recommendations, then asked if we wanted our regular orders for the kids from memory, and the kids weren't even with us.

I also was going to have their baker Katie make the desserts for my wedding. She was so thorough in her emails and really listened to our wants and needs, even after we found out we wouldn't be able to use her (conflict with another caterer) she was so kind and understanding.

And last but not least the food and drinks are to die for. I came from a house hold that made EVERYTHING from scratch, and this is the only place were the baking has trumped with my mothers. The coffee drinks are crafted so carefully with the best ingredients. Its so impressive how much they know about coffee.

I'd give a thousand stars if I could

I've been to coffee shops, all around the world ranging from Canada, Portugal, France, Netherlands, and England. And I'll tell you there nothing like the Nook. When I first walked in, I was greeted by every single staff and even approached from the owner. The owners, begin to actually engage conversation and educate us on coffee. I enjoyed my time here and can't wait to come back.

This was a nice casual place to grab a quick bite and a delicious coffee. The food offerings are slim but we really enjoyed the linguica rolls and donuts. They have an outstanding list of decadent sweet coffee offerings. We loved the gamer/punk vibe. Can’t wait to go back.

Their food and drinks are all delicious. I love the set up. It's awesome that you can play video games while you wait and/or eat. My only complaints would be how the owner seems to have no problem talking down to his employees right in front of customers in a manner that makes one feel very uncomfortable, and he often parks right in front of the store instead of leaving that open for his customers. His wife, however, is always a delight and makes you feel very welcome.

Excellent coffee shop. Fun atmosphere. Friendly staff. They have some video games setup to play while you sip your incredibly tasty beverage of choice. They sometimes have local art on the wall which I love. The place is small though, so seating can be at a premium.

From VA so I have only been here a handful of times when in town visiting a friend. Incredible. The Local Buzz is amazing. If you don’t like things super sweet, try the half and half. The scones were great. Super friendly service. I went here twice in one day while in town because it’s that good.
