The Java Room

Great place to stop for coffee. The atmosphere is chill and there are regular performances on weekends (at least there were in the Before Times). They also serve alcohol during those performances, so it is a great spot for a date night. The owner, Candy, is often nearby and cares a lot about the establishment. Baristas are all very nice, I have almost never had a poor experience there.
The food is mediocre to poor, so stick with the coffee/specialty drinks and you will love it.

Great caffeinated drinks and the staff is very friendly. Their chai latte is excellent!

Update: With the prices of everything going up, one thing I should point out is that I recently noticed that some of the prices for things I get here are a little lower than getting the same thing at Starbucks, even though the quality here is usually better

Workers/Management need to make some changes. First time there we asked the girl at the counter if we should stand there and wait for our food. Told us we could sit down and they would announce when food was ready. Well with the live music, you can't hear the workers. Who knows how long our food sat there getting cold. I'm sure we will not be back and doubt we will recommend to anyone else.

Love a pot of tea or glass of wine,& quiche & soup with brunch jazz, as often as possible. What a treat ! Makes for a great day, after a bike ride or walk on the rail trail. More variety on the menu would be nice.

Great Coffee and Staff is the best.

Very nice upscale coffee, tea pastries and sandwich place. Sidewalk and good size indoor dining room as well.

Very happy to have found out about this place. I love their chai! My husband got the strawberry & ice cream blender and it was great, too. Quiche and chicken curry wrap were both fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back soon to try more offerings!

Java Room is a wonderful "local" coffee house/wine bar with very friendly and competent staff. You'll feel very welcome there with an outstanding cup of coffee and muffin! (or many other items on their fine menu)

Great coffee, live music on a few nights of the week and some brunch options

Have been coming here for over 15 years, still some original employees. Always clean and comfortable with great tea & coffee. Try a wrap for a full lunch, cesar wrap is always good. Say hi to Candy the owner.
