Came to town for my birthday weekend. This little shop was great! The food was delicious and the bananas foster latte was spectacular!

There are so many things I love about this place that I don't even know where to start. Fortunately, I live 10 mins away and can go a few times a week. Their breakfast is a weekend staple for me & my hubs. The basic breakfast platter has ALL the things - AND the best grits! The bananas foster pancakes are my go-to for a treat. Their cajun-inspired lunch bites are amazing - collard greens melt & a cup of gumbo is my jam. But the chickpea curry is my backup. Wells has also become my Sunday afternoon chill spot to grab a coffee - rose cardamom latte & a magical chocolate chip cookie. Just sit me in a sunny spot in the front window and I'm happy! Y'all gotta try it.

$6 for a small hotdog, no side or pickle or drink, just a plain hot dog wrapped in tin foil. Pretty absurd.
BLT was tasty but small, and same, overpriced at $12 with no side.
Friendly environment & staff, just a lot of menu items are overpriced for what you get.
Good coffee.
Seemed busy, so i guess if people will pay, charge what you can, but we won't be returning.

Really unexpected, farm-to-table quality food at this anassuming market/eatery! Not to mention reasonably priced. Especially enjoyed the deep-fried meatloaf sandwich and the a andoulie sausage and eggs/hash browns platter. The coffee was really delicious as well. Plus we really enjoyed the market items including local farm meats/cheeses as well as specialty sweets and snacks. Full selection of beer and liquor for take home was also a bonus.

Loaded grits, to die for. They now serve everything all day. Great Louisiana cuisine is a plus here. Meals ready to eat in refrigerator case as well. Get the gumbo

This place is a gem! After coming here almost every weekend in June and July for the creamie (try the bananas foster sundae with malted vanilla ice cream - you won’t be disappointed!), we were so excited to try the restaurant for lunch! Our party of three got the Cajun poutine, shrimp and grits, and chicken adobo, and all three dishes were amazing. My southern-born mother in law raved that the chicken adobo was so delicious and the level of spice didn’t overwhelm the other flavors, while my husband (who attended school in Canada, the poutine capital of the world) wanted to get a second order of the delicious fries and cheese curds smothered in gravy (he was talked out of it because we obviously needed to save room for ice cream later). Furthermore, the coffee is to die for - and if you choose to dine in, you can get a refill for free!
The owners, Wesley and Levi, were so welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them about their move to Charlemont and their future plans for their space. We are so excited that they’re here, and even more excited to come back and try everything else on the menu!

It’s not just food, it’s a spiritual experience. I had the gumbo and the shrimp poboy, dressed, and was rendered speechless. Plump, wild-caught Gulf shrimp, light batter, fried to perfection — but it’s the bread that makes it for me. The gumbo defies description — they must have opened a portal to another dimension to get that much gustatory joy into a bowl. Vietnamese coffee and coffee with chicory also available and awesome!

What a great addition for Charlemont. Very creative menu. My grand kids love the Ice Cream Window. Best omlets and shrimp & grits anyplace. Great selection of wines and local products. Friendly and helpful staff.
