This coffee shop is quaint and brilliant, small enough to not allow tables where jerks and their laptops hangout but big enough to have everything you'd want. Best part is u asked for an Americano and the thing that blew me away is they asked how much water I want in it! The service is supreme and these people know their coffee. Skip all other coffee spots in the area and come here ASAP!

Drip is always on point (perfectly dialed in). Also just had the best shot of espresso I’ve ever tried. Staff are always friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. This is an essential stop for any coffee lover in the city.

The service is exceptional. We stopped here on our first and last days in Boston visiting. The workers gave us recommendations for our trip that we ended up enjoying so much. The coffee was great too!

Awesome spot for great, no-nonsense espresso and cold brew. Probably the best espresso shot I've had in the city. Highly curated (aka small but good) selection of beans, and friendly baristas.

Gracenote is amazing! Some of the best coffee and friendliest baristas I've ever experienced. The shop is small but beautiful. The espresso is top notch, easily on par with intelligentsia, George Howell's, etc.

Just returned since for the first time since 2020 - still excellent. Beautifully extracted espresso, charming place.

One of the best coffee shops in Boston. Situated in the heart of Boston near South Station / The Leather District, it's worth a visit if you are in the area. The offer fresh pressed almond milk too, if you that stuff.

I've followed San and @thecoffeetrike to their roving locations over the last few years to get my espresso fix. Besides the wine like experience with my espresso or latte, the warmth, care and attention to detail are inspiring and add something to the ineffable to each cup. Now the trike has a home called Gracenote! And it's beautiful, inviting, expertly designed and has what I would now say is the best espresso experience in all of Boston. This is what craft is all about, the pursuit of excellence. This is coffee worth a detour.

I have given other coffeeshops five stars before, but this one deserves ten. It's the best of its kind, with a triple hitter combination of sourcing, staffing, and roasting expertise. I had a shot of the Misty Valley espresso, which had an almost creamy texture. The natural process coffee is a rare find, and at $3.50 a shot, is an accessible opportunity for world class coffee experience.

Gracenote has a solid ginger chai latte, and I genuinely enjoyed it. A subtle chai flavor combined with a subtle ginger flavor. It wasn't exploding with flavor, but it isn't supposed to. It's simply a nice, soft, warm tea latte with hints of fall spices. (I'd personally like it more if the ginger was kicked up a few notches.)

The hot chocolate was, to be unfortunately frank, not good. Instead of sweet milk chocolate, it tasted more like 70-80% dark chocolate, so it was somewhat bitter. It wasn't thick and creamy, the consistency was watery.

To be fair, Gracenote is all about the coffee. And they know a *lot* about coffee. By just standing against the wall for a few minutes and watching the inner workings of the cafe, you can tell that everyone involved with this establishment is a coffee person through-and-through. They're considered some of the best coffee in the area.

The baristas are extremely polite, they work fast, and are pretty good at the latte art. Most of the machinery involved with making drinks is hidden under the counter, so the space looks very modern, clean, and organized.

My main gripe with Gracenote is the mismatch between price and quantity. Yes, the quality of the coffee is very high, but $4 for a 10oz drink is steep. (For comparison, a normal can of soda is 12oz.)

The space is very small, just some standing room on one side. More of a grab-and-go coffee shop.
