Bump 'n Grind Coffee

Don't know if anyone else has already mentioned this in other reviews, but their wifi access system sucks. I am not sure what the costs are that they would have to make it so troublesome for people if they expect to keep up with Peets right down the street.

I went there tonight a little after 6 to get some work done because I needed to use a laptop and mouse on a table surface. Only after I paid $7 (including tip) for an underwhelming parfait (that was half the size it should have been at that price) was I told that they would be closing an hour early at 7 rather than 8.

No helpful signs tell you what the wifi situation is, so I had to go back to the counter to find out I needed to ask for a machine-generated wifi password that is only valid for two hours. I tried to use it on three different networks, two named BumpnGrind and one named BNG or something along those lines. Password didn't work on any of the three and by that time I was so frustrated I just left.

The atmosphere is really great! It's a unique idea to have records available to purchase along with the coffee. The staff is friendly and the coffee is fantastic!

They serve my favorite coffee in the DC area - Vigilante Brewing Co. Friendly service, cool atmosphere, plenty of different coffee options, from the standard drip to the French press and pour over. I'm a fan.

Then you head to the vinyl section and you can find some bass, breaks, techno, downtempo and house. I am a vinyl junkie myself with 12K pieces in my basement.

You sit down, open the laptop and enjoy a fast wireless connection, until...
... the mid-range-saturated-guitar-white-noise-garage-band sound coming out of the speakers starts piercing your ears. It's the last type of soundwave I would expect from a place like that.
Guys, what on earth are you thinking?

Just play promote your vinyl! Play some downtempo, or house, or reggae, or Pink Floyd, or anything other than that! People go there to chillax, work and enjoy the atmosphere and quite frankly that noise made me flat-out leave.
Sorry. Everything is great, but you seriously need to tell the person responsible for selecting the music to get their act together.

Cool , spacious little coffee shop with some great bites to eat and very delicious coffee. Beware days when they have DJs or music events if you're looking for someplace quiet.

Bright clean cozy coffee shop! Good coffee and great seating. Perfect place for a group coffee meeting or a study session. Parking is metered though.

Great coffee and one of few cafes that offer cortados

Awesome ambience and the coffee is really good. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Take a load off and have a brew to refuel.

New favorite local coffee shop. They even let me bring my dog in and hang out. Very cozy and convenient.
