Update after multiple visits:
The coffee does taste good, but if you go there for a cup of regular coffee after 11am be prepared for them not to have any brewed, or to buy coffee that is not actually hot. I bought two hot coffees to go and we carefully took our first sip as we drove away... it was lukewarm. Disappointing to realize I paid full price for coffee that had been sitting for a long time.

First review was 4 stars:
Good tasting cup of regular coffee. Delicious egg sandwiches. Didn't seem too busy when we arrived, but hot coffee needed to be brewed and they were out of ceramic coffee cups for in-store sipping so we had to drink from paper to-go cups. Otherwise, good. Will be back for more coffee... walking distance from our hotel.

Nice coffee shop with short hours.
The espresso was smooth and strong like it should be. The chocolate-cherry coffee cake was better than expected (nice nuanced flavors, neither dry nor oversweet). I saw several other coffeecakes in the bakery case that I would be happy to try. True to its name, several of the available drip coffees were of Ethiopian origin.
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any dishes or utensils. The cake came in a bag, and no forks were visible anywhere. The espresso was in a to-go cup (no demitasse or even full-sized coffee cup offered). I like to linger over my coffee and cake, and prefer to have them in real dishes, if I'm enjoying my purchase at the cafe.
Prices are a touch higher than Starbucks or other coffee shops.
The big negative is the short hours-- this was my first time here in part because they close early. On this Thursday visit, we were informed they were closing at 6pm. Even for the suburbs, that seems on the early side.
A nice location in the big commercial development in Maple Lawn, it has a corner with outdoor seating and ample windows. Wish they stayed open later.

I love to support local business, especially local coffee shops. I stopped into this place one morning for a cup of coffee on my way to work. Needless to say I was disappointed in the quality of the coffee. The cashier was pleasant but the product was not up to par. It's a shame too because I love Ethiopian coffee blends but this was mediocre at best. I may give them a shot again in the future.

A cute little local coffee shop it's the closest to family in this area who we visit each year. The coffee is good and consistent. Gone are the fresh flowers on each table, the wood floors are heavily worn showing the owner is putting little back into his business. The lady at the counter could have bridged our language barriers with a smile, which would have been nice. I'll be back, but it is sad to see the place falling away.

Great coffee, and adequate sandwich. The egg was like what is used at Starbucks, a microwaved disk, but it was tasty. The cashier was friendly, but the women who brought my meal to me barely acknowledged my existence when I said thank you. Overall seems like a cozy local coffee shop, but I would stick to a Starbucks if one was closer by.

Average prices, and coffee seems to be hot or miss. I’ve been a few times and had great coffee, but similar to other reviewers I’ve experienced lukewarm coffee at times. Very comfortable atmosphere though - Great place to go and knock out some work!

Just came by this coffee shop. I cannot begin to explain the service here. First I called to ask if they had gluten free options. The lady simply answers can you please hold and puts me on hold for 20m.
I decided to go ahead and try. I go in, wait in line for 10m, finally I ask her if she had any gluten free options. She says no. I ask her if she could please make a bacon egg and cheese without the bread. She said no. I continued to explain that they could just prepare it and not put in on the bread, but she continued saying that they need it to put in the bread. Very rude and very little attentive!
I go to dunking donuts and asked the same thing and without a problem they do it. Is it so hard to have good customer service and understand that people do have certain allergies and that they need to accommodate different customers. It’s just a matter of wanting it! Please train your employees!

This is a really pleasant independent coffee shop with a good selection of pastries and lunch items. They sell charming coffee mugs and some other gift items. Service is slower than a chain shop but quality is better. I really like the cappuccino.

We love Sidamo. Their in house roasted beans are so good. We really enjoy their wide selection of loose leaf teas too! Definitely a wonderful place to relax and warm up with a delicious drink!!

Great local place to meet someone for coffee. Excellent coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Better than the big chains in my opinion. I have been here many times over the past five years and have never been disappointed.
