Great little place. Nice coffee options, but surprisingly limited breakfast options. Glad the breakfast sandwich was good because it was the only option

The staff seem super overwhelmed, and I think in return that affected their customer service. There were no hellos, or goodbyes upon entering or exiting. Just a feeling of being panicked, an sense of unorganization. Unfortunately they didn't have any gluten free food options, so I wasn't able to try the food. I ordered just a large Ice latté. They only had whole, and oat milk(had to pick whole because of oat/gluten allergy). With only sugar cubes for ice drinks. Not great if someone is a diabetic, or is avoiding gluten/fats from milk. The large iced drinks are served in a 12oz cup, I paid a little over $5, not including tip. I don't mind paying a little more for a wonderful coffee. But when you have no alternative sweeteners other than sugar cubes that don't dissolve in ice drinks it becomes difficult to enjoy. The shop in itself is beautiful, and has all sorts of whimsical fun things to buy. (Locals should know that it's tourist prices though.) I hope that they diversify their food, and drink menu. So people with different health, and dietary needs can enjoy their café as well. I'd definitely give it another go, if that were the case! But for now, I'll venture elsewhere.

Wonderful wonderful place! We were in Portland for 3 days and ate there twice. Outstanding service and delightful food. We loved everything! Ceasar salad was the best we've ever had (not over dressed, not overly garlicky, homemade croutons and the best anchovies). Little store was charming. Love it being tucked away from the cruise ship crowds. Thank you!

Coolest little cafe and shop, serving up amazing breakfast, lunch and cocktails at night. Bloody Mary is spicy and perfect.

Smalls is super friendly and accepting; they have fantastic coffee and tea, a fun and exciting wine list, and the small plates at happy hour are worth visiting. We had the white beans, warm marinated olives, and spiced beets. All were excellent. Everyone who works there was a delight and I highly recommend visiting when you are in a Portland. Also, there is a shop with tons of fun gifts and products and even a few fresh grocery items. We found some high quality spices, herbs, and tea that we loved. Definitely a must visit place!

Hilariously pathetic serving sizes. Photos are attached of a $12 small plate (they aren’t lying when they say “small). There are 4 chunks of carrot, 4 chunks of potato and maybe a Brussel sprout or two.
This place is gentrifying Portland.

The attention to detail in this coffee shop is BEYOND! From the black and white porcelain, pops of green, strategically placed mirrors that help you people watch without turning around. The warm glow from the vintage globe light fixtures. The vibey bathroom! I can’t think of a better place to enjoy a chai tea and croissant. Tried the muffeletta (yum) and again, the details make everything a unique experience. Our new spot for sure!

Best coffee in town, food is on point, great staff, and a perfect spot for a classy wine date night 6:00 to 8:00
