Pink Pastry Shop

Walked in ready to buy a bunch of yummy things. Staff did not respond to greeting. Shop was empty. Then we read the sign saying that they don’t take credit cards because of the fees, but people could use the ATM. So they’re holding the customers accountable for bank fees and instead promoting they use an ATM machine that charges $2 (and then the home bank charging another fee)?!? We thanked them and left - to eye roles and no other reply. We took our business to one of the other lovely shops who had lines going down the street.

Had you asked me last year, I’d have given no less than 5 stars. Let me first call out that the food and drink are delicious. However, the price gouging is a huge turn off. We used to visit this bakery everyday while on vacation; we visited once this year and won’t be back. To top it off, they don’t accept cards because they’re “tired of paying credit card fees.” Disappointed and now giving our business to the other cafes in town.

Coffee is always good. Cupcakes taste like plastic. They are absolutely gorgeous but I wish they tasted as good as they look. Especially for 6 bucks a pop.

Be aware this "local business" is cash only, $7.02 for a very modest slice of cake - I do know it's delicious, but that's straight up price gouging, no 2 ways about it. I handed over a $10 bill and the lackluster sales person actually had the nerve to ask if I had the 2 pennies! Come on- you only accept cash, and you want the customer to make change?

This place is cash only so come prepared. I came in because I was dying for an espresso. Just ordered a cafe at lait with non-dairy milk (they only have almond, no others) with an extra shot of espresso. I get my steamed milk, go to add my coffee at the bar and asked about the espresso shot. “You have to order that ahead of time”… yes, I know… I just order it… “oh I didn’t hear you, sorry.” Is an espresso shot too hard to make now? Guess so… so I paid almost $7 for a large coffee with steamed almond milk… go elsewhere and get an espresso. I rarely ever leave a review but they were so rude about the whole experience I felt I needed to.

Stopped here on our venture to bar harbor, iced coffee was delicious and we grabbed two dessert to go for later. The Chocolate Toffee Cake was perfect for our family of chocolate lovers and the tiramisu was one of the best Ive personally had, as you could actually taste the espresso!

Beware iced coffee price. A clean, friendly place. Pink interior as you would expect. I ordered a large iced coffee and surprised that it cost me over $7 with tax. I know, i should have looked at the menu board but still, it’s a little exhorbitant. It was standard iced coffee, nothing that would require me to race over to that store above other coffee shops.

Thank you for a delicious iced tea (my mom said the best she’s has in a long long time!) and iced coffee. We also had a lemon bar which was tasty, tho would’ve liked a little more fresh lemon taste.
