The Coffee Depot

Great place to visit with friends. We shared a large order of yummy onion rings, and each a cup of gumbo, potato salad, and shared a delicious BLT, and ordered boxes of beignet fingers to go. Perfect lunch. Loved the train whistle sound whenever an order was ready. Nice old depot decor. Restroom very small so open door carefully or you might hit someone in there. Next time we visit we plan on trying the Smoothie and bread pudding.

Fantastic place!!!! Great food and great atmosphere!!! Perfect spot for a breakfast date or family outing! Very relaxed environment and fantastic staff! They were knowledgeable, helpful, polite and friendly. Definitely recommend!!!!

Amazing place to get breakfast, only complaint is that it's too packed in the morning to get food sometimes, but it's a pretty impressive place for a local breakfast joint.

The food is exceptional and the home town feel
Is just what we needed! The Boudin Biscuit is my favorite and I love the coffee mugs- just like going to Mawmaw’s house. Our grand baby loves playing on the train and it kept him occupied while we waited.

Pleasant place to go however, the sausage and biscuits gravy had very little sausage.
The gravy had no flavor to it. Bacon was excellent. atmosphere is nice, good service.

This place will become our routine stop in our way to NOLA and Florida! Amazing service, and beautiful southern location. Food was really good, but service, and friendly people was the best! Thank you for the ambience, food, and service!!!

Group of 4 of us went on a Sunday for breakfast; make sure you get there before 9am. Very nice establishment; history of Scott well represented. As for service, our waitress was pleasant. However, two of my items never came out. I remembered one, but forgot about the other. So, we were charged for the one I forgot to tell her to remove from the check. And we had to remind her to bring out the syrup. Food was nothing to rave about. Beignets, no comparison to Cafe Du Monde. Prices are a little high.

This place is great!
My waitress Kayla was AWESOME!!! Got my coffee quickly and she never let it go empty. The boudin biscuit was delicious with just the perfect meat to bread ratio & the cheese was melted nicely which helped hold it all together. The gumbo needed a lil spicing up but a lil tabasco, salt and pepper fixed that right up. Topped it off with some beignets for dessert and it was more than I could finish.
Truly a wonderful experience.

We sat down to a table covered in water, which we had to dry. We must have waited at least 25 minutes for two breakfasts, which were barely warm. Fried eggs had runny egg whites. Bacon greasy. Both breakfasts had to be returned. Within minutes we received two hot breakfasts. The food was mediocre and the service was also mediocre. Will not return.

My husband and I have a breakfast date every Saturday morning at Coffee Depot. We like to get the beignet fingers and coffee au lait. Sometimes my husband likes the bacon, egg and cheese croissant. Service is great and food is good. This morning we saw they had put up their huge Christmas tree and several tables together to make a large rectangular table with their model train set up in the middle. Great atmosphere!
