This review is only for the coffee! Did not try anything else. We all had lattes, they were decent however left an odd aftertaste. The name is a little deceptive because it appears that they do not really specialize in coffee.
The food looked tasty and the building is very comfortable and restful.

We had an awesome hostess and waitress! Very friendly service at this eatery!
Awesome spot for breakfast. I will have to come back and try the lunch.
This is the only place I know around that does scrambled eggs with cheese and diced bell peppers/tomatoes (without having to order an omelette).
Tasty breakfast potatoes and delicious biscuit sandwich!
I will be back to try the beignets and other items.

Wow. This truly charming establishment truly embodies everything that makes a great coffee & breakfast spot, from its unique building and comfortable atmosphere to its exceptional food and drink offerings.
From the moment you walk into The Coffee Depot, you are greeted by a warm and inviting space that is sure to put you at ease. The decor is both rustic and unique, with interesting touches like vintage signs, exposed brick walls, beautiful wooden interior, and miscellaneous antiques that add deep character to the space. The overall aura of the coffee shop is simply amazing, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Now let's talk about the food - it is simply phenomenal! The eggs, bacon, sausage, and boudin are cooked to perfection and burst with flavor in every bite. The beignets are outstanding, with a light and fluffy texture and just the right amount of sweetness.
But it's not just the food that makes The Coffee Depot stand out - the coffee is top-notch as well. Whether you prefer a classic latte or something a little more unique, the baristas at The Coffee Depot are masters of their craft and will create the perfect drink to satisfy your taste buds.
Overall, I cannot recommend The Coffee Depot highly enough. If you find yourself in Scott, LA, be sure to make a stop here and experience the amazing food, drink, and atmosphere for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

It was a fine enough stop. We ran into some issues with speed of service. We were probably seated a good 10 minutes before our waitress was able to see us. They didn't feel catastrophically busy, so I'd have liked maybe someone else to at least bring waters? I had the beignets, and my friend the gumbo. Both were fine. Coffee was also fine. Maybe we just caught them at an off time.

I was looking for a place to have a breakfast and stumbled upon this place. At first I thinking you you see the name you would think it was all about coffee but you would wrong. When you walk in the place has a nice open floor concept with very cool art all over the people. The special will greet you with a warm smile and listen to their recommendations for items on the menu. This is a wonderful place to have a great breafast. I had the pecan pancakes with strawberries and whip so good. I really enjoyed the setup indoor and outdoor .

I loved the iced coffee so much I ordered two!! Better than Starbucks!! The wait staff is fast, friendly and efficient. The food was hot and delicious! This is a great local joint with a train 'depot' theme. If I lived in the area this would be my spot!

First time eating here and I felt compelled to share my long list of disappointment ls:
First cup of coffee came with red lipstick on my cup (not cleaned well). My replacement cup came with “warm” coffee, so I felt bad and asked for them to please heat it up.
Now to the food: the one positive: the eggs were great.
The bacon tasted awful to both me and my daughter. Not sure if it was spoiled or not, but it did not taste like any bacon I’ve had in my life. It left a bad aftertaste as well ( I love bacon by the way)
The grits also tasted awful and weird… how do you mess up grits?
Also, the loud horn that they sound (I’m assuming for tips) is very jolting when you’re not expecting random loud noises.
I will not be returning and don’t recommend this place.
Far sub-par to both Mel’s Diner and Hub City Diner.

Clean. Welcoming. Very Southern [comforting]. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff is gentle and conservative. Tony [the waiter] was quiet a kind. Helped in all ways asked, even to pursue the purchase of an item not normally for sell. Gabby [possible manager], also was assisting towards the item with kind words of ".... No not at this time, we [The Coffee Depot] are currently seeking the same...." The food was absolutely good.. you get what you ask for.. also, portion sizes were fulfilling. Masks were in affect. This place is one to visit when passing through Louisiana for a southern taste of the great Scott, Louisiana.

Whenever I visit Lafayette, I always try to eat breakfast at the Coffee Depot (Beignets & hot chocolate). This time I added french toast, grits, and bacon. I wasn’t disappointed and I ate every bite. It was a very busy day and every waitstaff seemed to be on their game. The establishment was very clean and signs were posted on both doors, requiring you to wear a mask before entering. Tony was our server and he was definitely on it. We were interested in purchasing an item and Gabby (Manager) came over to speak with us. She was full of energy and very polite. Every establishment needs a manager like her. My visits will continue and you should visit them as well.
