The Coffee Depot

We were here visiting from Texas and needed a good coffee place. It was close to our hotel so we have them a try. The employee was very informative and helped me with all my questions. She's great! The coffee was delicious and was ready very fast. I wish we had known they served breakfast before hand. It looked like a really nice cozy place to sit and eat. Well try them next time we are in town, for breakfast and coffee of course.

I truly love the beignets here. So for me Reve for coffee and Coffee Depot for beignets, when I am in Lafayette

I wish that there was some way for me to assure you that, if I give a positive review, that I’m not one of these so called influencers who write a favorable review because they got a free meal.

Cause all I really want to say is that, imho, the beignets that I was served here were outstanding and better than ones I’ve had at three places in New Orleans.

Have come here a few times with my girlfriend since she loves the environment. She's going to have to find a new place. We sat for 5 minutes without a server even greeting our table. The tables around us had empty drinks and menus and seemed to be trying to get the servers attention while she was visiting with coworkers behind the counter. Will not be wasting my time or money here again. Terrible service. Taller skinny waitress with long hair was working our section.

Great Experience and incredible food. If you go make sure you get beignets.

Food was okay, nothing special. Biscuit was cold. Service was good.

The Coffee Depot is OPEN and they have the social distancing setup and ready for dine-in. Employees all have masks and they disinfect the pens after each use!

Got here about 1045 on a Friday, waited to be seated. Took about 5 minutes before the hostess noticed we were standing 10 feet from her. Seated us at a table that was cleared but had visibly not been wiped down. She did that after we sat down. Table still has sticky spots so I wet napkins in the bathroom to take care of it. We ordered quickly but it took over 30 minutes to get our basic breakfast to us. I also had to get up and go ask. Not sure if we will be back anytime soon.

I'd give it a 3.5 stars. The biscuits were great, the eggs & grits....not so much. Atmosphere and service were nice but our table was sticky and they skipped our name on the waiting list. It was a busy morning so perhaps I went on a off day.
