The place itself and the baristas are great, but man, their coffee is pretty bad. It tastes like they haven't ever had their espresso machine serviced, but since the owner's other shop (Envie in the quarter) has the same rotten coffee I'm guessing it's a supply issue. There are other, better choices in Mid City.

Fantastic coffee and friendly staff.

I go to the bean gallery almost everyday. The sandwiches are wonderful and the coffee drinks are also equally as good. The staff is friendly and kind.

This place is very close to where I live, but I really can't stand going there. The barista really made me feel unwelcome when I asked for some water with my coffee. It's Louisiana. It's hot.

Another time I was there, a different barista pulled the bitterest, 40+ second shot and then served it to me. I watched her try to multitask while she pulled the shot and forget about it. That's cool, mistakes happen. Don't serve that though. Even an undiscerning coffee drinker is going to know espresso shouldn't taste like Aspirin.

So friendly! Great coffee!

Pretty darn good place to read. Bring headphones if you have to focus. It’s a decent place to be with good coffee and a decent assortment of good food. Atmosphere is chill, surroundings clean, and the people helpful.

Service was great, staff was nice but I paid for a burrito and what I got was a tiny wrap, not a burrito at all. Way too small. Do not order it thinking it's gonna be an actual burrito.

The Bean Gallery had everything we were looking for! Can't comment on parking because we took an Uber. The food was very good though. We each had a panini. Everything tasted fresh and was reasonably priced. It was too cold to eat outside buy there was plenty of seating inside without feeling crowded. Had it been warm enough we definitely would have eaten outside. It is perfect for a quick fulfilling breakfast before walking around downtown New Orleans.

The Bean Gallery has delicious coffee, but rather lackluster baked goods (I did go on a Sunday afternoon).

Also, not all of the tables are near electrical outlets, so be aware before you bring your laptop.

When I arrived, I saw only one empty table against the wall (where the outlets are), and since there was no one else ahead of me, I ordered before claiming the table. But when I got my coffee, there was a woman with a coffee to-go cup sitting there, with her laptop!

Since she had not waited on line or been in the loo, I assume that she brought an old coffee cup so that it would look like she ordered something, when in fact she had not. And she did not order anything for the two hours I was there! And I didn't see her drink from the cup, either.

That's not the café's fault, of course.

One of my favorite local spots. It’s open late (12 am!), has a variety of sweet and savory food options, comfy seating and work seating, good music, and the staff are always nice and conversational. 🙌🏻
