Double my stars.. Great place for coffee AND amazing food. This is the longest review I've ever written, but they are worth but.
Was really surprised the 1st time I ate here (though had been a bunch of times prior for coffee). Wow, such a chill coffee shop with super well made eats! Love the chilli, buritto, soup, and the burgers that are encased in soft pretzelly kind of dough (not 100% how to describe) has to be one of the best edible things you can eat - in the world.

On top of all that, the people are great, very friendly, and make you feel at home - like a family member.
Another thing... Music out if nowhere.. sometimes a person will walk up the the old upright piano and begin playing - from moderate skills to professional, all are welcome (never heard chop-sticks - which is a good thing). Maybe someone will start singing a tune.. with or without accompyment.
And on a chilly or cold day, grab a table next to the fireplace!
What else can I say.. other than you're really missing something if you haven't tried one of my favourite places in New Orleans. Great coffee, great meals, great atmoshere, and great people by.
It's right across the street from MiMi's, in the Marigny.

This coffee house has an overwhelming abundance of the indefinable spirit which New Orleans is known for. Whenever I end up here, even when fed up and ready to leave the city, this place feels like the home I would never leave. Talented randoms grace patrons ears with their skills on ivory while people sip eat and write. I remember first coming here on the night of Chubauccus and thinking I wanted to write here, that I finally found a public space in which I could write, the likes of which greats scratched out their first drafts.

Good Coffee. Tasty breakfast sandwiches, funky NOLA hangout space, table tops have cool tile designs, games & books to grab. Peasant staff. There is some ceramic work by a local artist for sale. The place could be cleaner without losing too much character - so they should work on that.

Open late! Good snack items, coffee selection. Great living room atmosphere. Outdoor seating too.

Great, "Cheers like" coffee shop! Superb mixtures of people and personalities, wonderful comfort foods, with a weekly backgammon club for the head strong math types. I felt at home the moment I was greeted by a kind heart from behind the case of sinful sweet treats. The home like atmosphere is decorated with colorful faces of Mardi Gras and the occasional curious orange feline who seems to prefer her coffee on the go.
The mellow spirits in this place are delighted to embrace it's visitors with aromas of fresh brewed coffees and accommodations for the "Peppermint or Green tea types" like myself. Don't be surprised if you hear Paul Simon or Etta James in the distant background. If you are looking for a place of solace and serenity, take seat and have a chat. If you're looking to brag about your stocks and yachts, heck you're welcome as well! As the late great Don Cornelius would say " Love Peace and Soul".

I have been coming here for 13 years. Its a great atmosphere. Friendly neighborhood coffee shop. Good food too. Overall just a nice place to spend a relaxing moment to unwind.

I stayed in New-Orleans for a few days last November and I had the best time of my trip at Flora's gallery. Wonderful people, delicious food and juices, magical vibe, great local artists, captivating poetry ! I will definitely come back to New-Orleans just for this enchanting paradise regained.

Chairs aren't the most comfortable for sitting there a while, but I always love coming to hang out here and have some baklava. Most of the goodies come from Sam's but the baklava is made in-house. Some of the best I've found yet.

Love the vibe. Food is great too

Best coffeeshop atmosphere in the Bywater. Can't say too much about the coffee because you basically pay for a sample serving size of Maxwell House @ dank coffee prices... but the artists who hang out here are pretty amazing. It makes up for it.
