Have been wanting to eat there. Was not a disappointment. Service was great, waitress was very polite and food was awesome. Had the chicken salad, would eat there again when in Lake Charles

If you're wanting lunch you have to get there by 11 no later or you will have to wait. The food is absolutely amazing. Great service. Definitely a treat to eat here.
Do not park in Sherwin Williams parking lot.

Update on 07/11/22 a stop for an afternoon pick me up had good points and a bad point. The once perfection of a gumbo was marred by a very heavy hand with salt! and the once perfect potato salad has added sugar of all things. So watch out for them. The lemon-berry cake was pricey but delicious and shareable. So one star down due perhaps to the extreme heat we have all been suffering from this July.
update 09/29/21 Quick and efficient service combined with some excellent choices of menu items. The Fried Green Tomatoes is an especially flavorful choice. The gumbo is rich yet light and well paired with the potato salad. Sandwiches are made to order and absolutely tasty, The turkey po boy was on good quality bread with fresh ingredients. The San Fran Burger was perfectly dressed with mushroom and onion, sauteed to perfection. This restaurant is not "cheap eats" by any means, and it offers a quality of product many white-tablecloth restaurants would envy.

Great food and atmosphere at Nina P's. Cajun French music was playing during lunch. Lots to choose from on the menu, even the kids menu has several options. And $1 ice cream for the kiddos was the best treat after lunch. Love this place, a local favorite.

We were in town for a few hours and asked some locals where to go for some authentic local cuisine. Nina-P's was highly recommended so we gave it a shot. Place was very crowded for a mid-afternoon Saturday so we ended up sitting outside. Food was pricey but spot on for some unique local flavors. Service was just ok. Definitley worth a visit if you are in the area.

People who have eaten here will consider being one of the good spots for desserts, however, if you are not what should be considered the be the right tone of pigment I would reconsider going there. Three waitresses and not counting the hosts, settings for 30 minutes with empty tables new arrival getting service, well it was time to go incorrect pigmentation against but still polite well at least they did not call the cops

Me and my husband ate at Nina-Ps Cafe for the first time and it was nothing short of delicious. The crawfish bread was amazing! Our waitress Rachel was the best! We never had to ask for a thing, everytime our glasses were empty she had another ready. If I could rate this Cafe more than 5 stars I would! We will be back for sure!
