Wonderful food. Friendly staff. I had not been here in a few years. It was just as good as I remember!! Large portions, well seasoned, yet not too spicy. Will be back!

This is one of the best plate lunch joints in Lafayette. For some reason, it appears to be some sort of secret, because a lot of people that I've asked have never heard of it. I guess maybe because it's in a shopping center and the sign is not very large. It's a real shame, because they really are killing it. Don't get me wrong, they're still doing very well. The line is usually long whenever I go for lunch, but I feel like they could do even better if the word got out more about them. Trust me, you need to go get a plate lunch.

Dont miss the dressing! It is a taste treat that is unexpectedly delicious. The ox tails were scrumptious, green beans soooo good. We never miss a chance to eat several meals here when we visit from So. California

Best plate lunches in Lafayette!

This was only my second time here because i live in New Orleans but both times were amazing. I am sooo full and happy. The oxtail!!! Mmm and I'm a huge fan of cornbread dressing and they did it perfectly. Love this place.

The best home cooked meal you can get in Lafayette in my opinion. Definitely the definition of soul food here.

This is the best place to go for good southern home cooking, besides your mother's house. The daily plate lunches are amazing and they have some of the best burgers in Lafayette.

Favorite place to eat. Everything is made with all the flavors, and not skimpy with the portions. Your belly will get filled. Awesome place for great home style food.
