Griffin Cafe

This is the only soul food establishment in Ascension Parish (Louisiana), to my knowledge. The food is great, especially the lasagna, and the customer service is awesome. I definitely recommend that you check this place out if you’re looking for a home cooked meal.

When You get tired of the nor great place to go and throw down on some good food it's always like that every time I visit

We love their home-cooked plate lunches. My favorites are fried chicken, chicken fried steak, potato salad, spaghetti and cheese.

This is a restaurant that I enjoy more and more each time I visit there. I mainly get it to go. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service at this place. Great plate lunches with home-style dishes cooked the way it’s supposed to be done. If you’re looking for food the way you had it as a kid, this place is perfect. Smothered pork chops or chicken that won’t disappoint. These ladies know how to cook!

It was just what I needed, it was as close to home cooking as it gets. The baked chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Oh how I love cheesy and creamy spaghetti and cheese, that's macaroni and cheese for non-Louisiana palates. What's best is it is chicken as grown, not the steroid pumped chicken.

Great food at a reasonable price with a very nice and helpful staff. I highly recommend the Griffin Cafe.

Very courteous and respectful personal. The cook came and talked to me making sure everything was ok with food and portions were plentiful. Owner and I had good conversations and shared laughter together. Worth stopping again.

I had the Spaghetti and Meatballs, with Yams, and Potatoes Salad. The meal was very tasty. I was given a generous portion. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was great and the place was neat and clean.
