Our group of 9 attempted to dine at Abita Springs Cafe for lunch recently. The sign out front said to seat ourselves, and the side patio was empty so we began to grab a couple of tables. An employee outside told us that the restaurant was short-staffed, so the patio wasn’t available. So we went inside, where there were two open but unbussed tables we hoped to use. It took several minutes before anyone acknowledged us, then we were told it would be about 25 minutes before we could be seated because they were short staffed. As we began to turn to move outside to discuss, a staff member rudely told us to move out of his way. All three staff members we encountered were rude & unhelpful. We instead had a great experience & delicious meal at the Abita Brew Pub across the street.

Was Great, until I got a surprise in my biscuits & gravy. It looked like a piece of envelope. It didn't seem to be taken, serious. Didn't expect much. Was taken off check, but,an Apology would have been much more appreciated. Would not go back just because of the way it was handled.

It’s a favorite of ours. When we are visiting family in the area, this is where we go for breakfast and sometimes lunch. Great cheese grits

Foods great when you finally get it. Even take out just sat there under the lamps and no one even checked to see whose it was while I already paid and was waiting. Every single time I’ve come here I’ve been extremely disappointed at the disorganized staff

First time to Abita Springs much less to the cafe. We walked in looking for the hostess or somewhere to sit and was rudely told by a gentleman staff member to get out of the way.
