The breakfast here was incredible! I had the meatlovers omelet with grits and a biscuit. The inside is smaller, but they also have outdoor seating. I found the staff to be very courteous and really friendly. I will definitely be coming back here in the near future. I loved the selection of breakfast on the menu!

It’s Monday so I had the special, red beans & rice. It came with fried catfish and cornbread. It was all very delicious. The cafe is in an old house. It was a really quaint atmosphere. When driving on I-12 in Louisiana, it’s worth the drive off the interstate. And you’ll love the town of Abita Springs.

One of the family's favorite breakfast spots.

Kids love the wide cups filled with hot chocolate tops with whipped cream.

You can sit indoors, covered outdoor patio, or an outdoor open seating area with umbrellas and a couple misting fans when it gets hot.

Breakfast/brunch times we have normally experienced 30-60 min wait. Haven't signed in for dinner yet.

Always a 10/10 every time I go. Got the beignets (not stingy with the powdered sugar) and side grits and they were both delicious and very inexpensive. Boyfriend got the meat lovers omelette and pancake and said it was also delicious. We get Tekoa as our server every time and she is amazing and helpful. Friendly staff and quick service.

Drove over from New Orleans as we heard they have the best chicken and waffles. Their menu is diverse albeit not too many options for non-meat eaters, so if you have a vegan or vegetarian in your group this might not be the place for you. Hospitality is great and they have three dine options (indoor, porch and patio). Food came out fresh and in a timely manner. Parking available around the side of the property. We also felt the food was reasonably priced and came with good portion sizes.

Cozy, hometown feel. Menu is very eclectic with local spin on traditional dishes. Had their version of a BLT with fried green tomatoes, avocado, bacon and spring m8x on croissant...YUMMY! The breakfast dishes are tasty as well as the fried seafood. When it's warm outside, they have a nice outdoor dining area. Friendly staff. Highly recommend trying!

Have been eating here since 1995 and I have always really liked the food and the wait staff. But this is not what I experienced on my last visit. My husband and I ordered two medium well done hamburgers with fries, dressed with cheddar cheese. When they came out the hamburgers were under cooked for what we ordered and were dark pink inside. We told the waitress and she took them to be cooked a bit more. No problem and she was very pleasant about it. When she returned with our newly cooked hamburgers they were still very pink inside, my bun was burned and 1/4 of the bun was wet with red blood and they put American cheese instead of cheddar as we had ordered. The waitress came back after a few minutes to see if everything was to our liking. I told her about the problem and she did nothing and said nothing. Well I could not eat this the way it was so I asked for a go box and a bun that was not heated. When I got home I cooked the meat until it was not oozing and put it on the bun. This was not a pleasant experience and I think that they could have said something. If I owned the restaurant I would have comped the meal, or at least offered to get another bun considering it was soaked in blood and burnt, it was black and crumbled where it was burned.

A new favorite place to stop to eat. The food is delicious and very well presented. Fried pork chops with gravy was bursting with flavor and bright slices of bell pepper. My daughter took on the big easy cheesy burger and loved the flavor. She said it was amazing. My parents both ordered the Philly cheese and said it was really good. My wife said the mango fish tacos was tasty and that it was a generous fried fish fillet in each taco as opposed to other fish tacos that just have chunks of fish.

Staff were busy, but personable. There is a sign that says please wait to be seated, but for right now while workers are scarce just step in and wave. Parking is decent around the restaurant. Highly recommend stopping in here while your in the area.

Quaint building, outdoor seating available. Small places seem to have a knack for putting out amazing food, and Abita Springs Cafe does it WELL! Had the Catfish Boogaloo, outstanding! Fried catfish covered in a crawfish cream sauce, sunny side up eggs on top, all served over grits. One large corn cake as an accompaniment. First bite, nice richness with a smoky back flavor. Second bite, eggs broken in the cream sauce, flavors of crawfish, cream, catfish and egg yolk together were worth every single bite afterwards. The corn cake with syrup was a griddle cooked cornbread with sweet goodness covering it. 2 of us had to split this and barely got through everything. If I lived closer, this would be a weekly stop. I highly recommend you get here soon, you'll see what you've been missing eating bacon and eggs for breakfast regularly. We'll be back!

I truly love this place . The perfect small town cafe with great service, awesome food and just all around good cozy feeling. I had a simple cheeseburger and it was cooked to perfection. Truly one of the best burgers I've ever eaten before.
