I didn’t even notice this was here, and recently I noticed it. I ate here and I’m definitely coming back! The Big Easy Cheesey hamburger is amazing!!!!

I really like this location. For the most part, the food is good, the atmosphere is adorable for dining in and out. I've had almost everything on the menu. The servers are really nice and the prices are fine. I've even eaten with the former mayor, who's a chicken, at this location. Sadly the former mayor passed away.

However the water ruins my experience every time. You can taste it in any fountain drink, and the last time I ate there, I could not eat my grits due to the taste of chlorine. Grits were all I wanted that day. I was sad about it. Lol I am forced to order coffee due to it being about to pretty much kill the taste of chlorine. This isn't exactly the restaurants fault.

Great little place, loved it. Crab cheese bread was very good....REAL CRAB what a change. Smothered pork chops weren't smothered they were covered, but still very good. Will absolutely go back.

Terrible service, took 30 min to get food which I understand nowadays, BUT my husband & granddaughter got their food & the girl said is this everything at which I said no I ordered breakfast & she walked off. The actual waitress that took our order came back a few minutes later & said oh did they forget your order? "What did you order" in complete shock as we looked at her I just said nevermind. I was not going to wait another 30 min to get any food but I ordered a BLT to take to my daughter. The woman walked off never said a word...to our surprise we got the BLT by the time my husband finished his breakfast which he said was not good, so he said I dod not miss anything. He had requested butter & syrup for his pancakes & only had syrup brought to him. They were not tasty at all he said. When I went to pay the same waitress rang me up & charged me for the wrong table & I had to wait for someone to refund the card so she could ring up the correct amount. Not once were we told sorry or anything for their mistakes. NEVER have I ever been treated so terribly, I literally watched my family eat as I sat with nothing. Was not even asked if I would like something to drink since I had finished my hot chocolate before they got their food. My husband said we will NEVER go back to Abita Cafe. I am understanding during these times of how service can take longer than usual BUT there is no excuse for disrespect!

They serve the best pancake in the city. Everything we ordered was so fresh and delicious.

I really wanted to give this place a good rating but I honestly can't. Horrible food but the waitress was nice and did a good job. Bacon was hard and cold. The biscuit was laughable hard. I thought it was going to break the plate. The cream pancake was really good though. Added one more star for that.

Their chicken and waffles are great, their eggs Benedict is one of the best, great service, small town getting. I go everytime in the area
