The experience you get here is like no other. I truly felt like I was at grandma's house. Brenda is an extremely nice, friendly lady. The building is etched in a time. A time long before me. Again, it had grandma's house written all over it. Saw the locals all know their places. Even helping cook thier own food. What a unique experience with the purchase alone.

A true hole in the wall dining experience. Brenda shoots straight from the hip. Whatever she's fixing, is what you're getting. She serves up real country cooking with a side of sass! The self serve coffee was.surprisingly good. Homemade strawberry preserves on the table. There are no vegan/vegetarian options. It is also not wheelchair accessible. We were fortunate enough to have breakfast with two former U.S. Coast Guard gentlemen (ages 91 and 97). What a fun experience.

I have been getting stingy with my stars but I'm giving Miss Brenda 5. The place isn't new or trendy. The decor is old and worn. The plates and silverware are mix & match. But you don't go here for any of that!
You get whatever Miss Brenda has cooked that day. Your selection might be fairly small. It's all made right there the way your mom and grandma might have done it, and it's served to you just like they would have done it too.
I was lucky enough to get pork dumplings, seasoned green beens, a biscuit, and baked apples with a sweet tea to wash it down. I could have had banana cream pie but I wasn't able to eat any more.
It was all just as great as if I had sat down in my grandma's kitchen 40 years ago.
Only grandma's house was cheaper to eat all this at.
The locals are all friendly and if you aren't very social, you might pass on visiting.

It’s good old country cooking. You get what she makes or maybe a cheeseburger and fries. Get there early and enjoy a big heaping plate that could pass for a holiday dinner. Ohh and it’s $10 a plate. Tip generously and bring cash! There is No where you can eat this much good food for less.

Brenda is great and the other patrons are really nice people to sit and talk with. Old time country store with fresh made home cookin. Don't expect table service, pour yourself a cup of Joe (no creamer) get a plate of fresh made food and have yourself a seat. Local farmers and workers are nice and friendly and Brenda will talk your ear off. Old school hospitality.

Loved it!!!! Brenda can cook a meal and have a great conversation. This is a legitimate old school restaurant.

Came here with a group of students from two schools. Brenda is a great cook and even better host. We loved our meal here and the time spent. Has the small town charm that is not available at a chain restaurant. Could not recommend or rate any higher. If you are through the area stop in for the food and visit.

Brenda's is like going to your Grandmothers! Great food! She made me and my coworkers fried chicken, mashed taters, green beans, corn, and homemade biscuits. This was my request and she out did herself! Thank you Brenda...we love ya!!!

Stopped in here because I was working near by. The place is unforgettable. Never in my life have I ate food this good at a restaurant. And Brenda (I will just call her mom from now on) is without a doubt a cook that you should come sample from.
