Best coffee I’ve had in all my travels. I’m a coffee nerd, home brewer, and I research places to experience coffee at wherever I travel. Anytime I’m in Lexington, Nate’s is on the must-do list for coffee & to pick up beans for home. My daughter just graduated from UKY and I will truly miss their perfectly crafted drinks and this special business!

This was my first time visiting. The shop was very busy due to the cold brew festival also going on. The people working were fabulous! They worked hard to make sure everyone got stuff as quickly as possible. We still had a bit of a wait, but again, it was extra busy for them and they handled it super well. I ordered a blackberry mocha which was delicious. I’ll definitely be back on a day I can sit and enjoy the shop more.

Nate’s Coffee is the best! I go here every couple of weeks for get the freshest most perfectly roasted coffee beans. I’ve tried many of their roasts from light to dark and have never been disappointed. None of their roasts are burnt like something you would get at Starbucks and everything is super smooth. I also like that I get to support a local small business while getting a superior product. As a bonus, you get a free drink when you buy a bag of beans. I always get a Nitro Cold Brew which is the best!
The staff here is always really friendly and I love the atmosphere of the shop.
The only inconvenience I run into is knowing where to park. Finding street parking can be a struggle so I usually park in the Victoria Square parking deck and walk down the block.

Amazing coffee, perfectly made by baristas that know what they're doing. Good quality beans from various countries as well. It is a tiny space but there are picnic tables outside that seem to be community tables shared by all the businesses around it. They do have some bakery items but very limited. The staff is great as well. The only thing missing if they had the space would be a nice little stage for some live music. Singer songwriter, duo, chill lounge music, etc.

Husband loved his mocha (and he’s super picky) and my chai latte was fantastic. Super cute coffee shop - definitely recommend.

Very friendly. Shop is closed to dine in however the lobby area was plenty big to wait for your order. Everything bagel was likely the best I’ve ever had! Coffee good too!

I been buying from Nate before he had a store front. I would go into a warehouse downtown where he was renting a corner, buying it right off the roaster. Today he is still making the same great coffee. Yo Wake Up has been a staple in my house for many years now. Support local, especially if it is better than what you find in the big box stores anyway. Great coffee from good people!

There is no better spot for coffee in Kentucky, much less Lexington. The coffee is incredible, an impressive variety at excellent prices. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, they will take the time to help you find your perfect cup. I once heard the owner talk about how coffee is one of the only things in life you can have exactly how you want it, the staff are clearly committed to helping every customer discover their favorite specifications. The owner is a great person, they support important causes and other businesses in Lexington (check out their charity of the month), Nate’s Coffee is just the best!

I tried some of their cold brew which was made from a roast way darker than I normally have and it was excellent. It’s so smooth and not at all harsh. It’s like the first time I drank liquor meant for sipping instead of the garbage I drank in college. They love to play around with their roasts and their whole attitude is that they take their coffee seriously but refuse to be condescending and they maintain a whimsical attitude. Definitely stop in if you want an upgrade from Starbucks, but you don’t want a hipster in a beanie to look down his nose at you for liking dark roasts.
Super knowledgeable and helpful staff and great coffee. They love to educate those who are willing to learn so don’t hesitate to ask any questions you have.

I really enjoyed this place, it has several tables inside as well as picnic tables outside.
They do sell merchandise as well such as tee shirts & bags of coffee.
They offer a small selection of baked goods as well .
I had the caramel butter apple latte which was really good . Previously I've had a mocha and it was just as good . They are definitely consistent with their lattes .
The only downfall should you choose to sit outside is you may or may not be approached by people either asking for money or cigarettes . However that should not be held against the business .
Personally I was approached two different times sitting outside within the span of 30 minutes by two different people asking for cigarettes. The first man didn't bother me at all , the second man sat down with me while I was on the phone and tried to start a conversation. I'm born and raised in New York so I'm not leary of people here but the second man had me on high alert . I thankfully had to get up and go to my appointment and even if I hadn't I still would have left .
