Excellent sausage and egg sourdough sandwich. I added bourbon strawberry jam as well. Service was quick and the atmosphere excellent. A great place to get work done or meet up with friends.

We are traveling through Kentucky and needed a place to connect to the internet for a few minutes. This little coffee shop is just perfect! Lots of wall outlets and free internet. Yummy pastries and delicious coffee. A perfect fall day! šŸšŸ

We were delighted to find that Folktale in Corbin, KY was open on Motherā€™s Day! Enjoyed a delicious breakfast! The staff were fantastic! Will note for future trips in the area!

I work remotely and work from Folktale whenever I am in town. DJ and the team are great! My go-to is a white mocha and itā€™s delicious. Itā€™s been so cool to see this small business grow over the last year while getting to experience all of their improvements to their menu and space.

I travel a lot and Folktale is still one my favorite places to work out of. They keep the place nice and cold so I just get to bundle up with a heated blanket and work away.

Haha I canā€™t wait until they start have live music openings though! šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‰šŸ˜‰

We are from out of town and are so glad we came here for breakfast instead of the usual chain breakfast places. This place is soooo cute! Very unique decor inside, ambiance was awesome; so many plantsšŸŖ“the food was so good, pastries were DELICIOUS, and there were so many coffee options! We are excited to go back tomorrow for breakfast and try some different things(:

Coffee house is trying. They have a cool design with unique/ retro seating and an art deco meets southern gothic charm; but thats where the positives end. The food is way overpriced ($8 for 2 sand dollar pancakes) and the portions are like what you would get from a tv dinner; dwarfed by the plate. The coffee was flavored with something bold and fruity that i wasnt aware of and sourdough pancakes may sound good but they dont go well with the extra sweet syrup (like they added water to it). We left after a few bites and a $65 bill to go find a Bojangles. Edit: my kids shared afterwards they were told to go sit down while waiting to help out and carry the hot chocolates they had ordered. They felt like they had done something wrong. Not cool...
Also; I live in Michigan and have had more real maple syrup and helped make it. It ALL has sugar in it. Sap itself is not sweet and our syrup was in cups and tasted like when i run out of syrup and have to have enough for 3 kids still. Coffee whatever. Maybe just accept that $8 should get you more than what it does there. Thanks for suggesting because I like bojangles i am not good enough to accurately review your restaurant. Guess i should have had scones...

Every small town needs a place like this! It's more than a delicious coffeeshop and bakehouse; it's a social hub! They have the best coffee and baked goods in town, but this is also a place to see and meet all parts of this beautiful community. The fine folks at Folktale have intentionally created a space that welcomes all types of people, regulars, out-of-town visitors, office-away-office workers, and friend groups who want to hang out. With friendly service, high quality food and beverages, and a warm atmosphere, this is the place to be!

Delicious food, obviously the cool neighborhood hangout, full of hip-looking people, lots of young folks, and families. Very cool setting and local art, definitely wanted to buy some, but the line was so long it didnā€™t seem possible almost. Seems like the biscuits and sourdough are their thing, but I can only guess; we went relatively early on a Sunday morning (9:30-10ish) and they were already out of biscuits. They were understandably busy (Sunday morning in a small town, lots of stuff was closed), but placing our order took a really long time despite only one family being ahead of us, and the food took a really long time to come, like 20-30 minutes. We werenā€™t in any hurry though, enjoyed our rainy Sunday morning coffee and hung out, but when the food did come, we were both pretty surprised by the small portions. I had the traditional breakfast and got only two pieces of bacon and one small piece of their amazing sourdough toast for my two eggs and honey lavender jam. The jam was absolutely incredible, I wish Iā€™d had more vehicle for it! My friend got the breakfast tacos and there were only two, though the tortillas were obviously homemade and absolutely delicious. Just seemed like not a lot for 2 breakfasts and coffees for $40ish dollars. Overall would recommend, but donā€™t be in a hurry!

It was a great find. The food was all made using fresh vegetables as well as the taco shells for my breakfast tacos as well. The food tasted as good as the presentation. As for the coffee is was a great cup of joe. I kept it some just cream. The staff was friendly and made great suggestions for a first timer like me.

Folktale is perfect for our small downtown. It's a fantastic place to work, relax, and have great conversations with friends. I'm not a coffee drinker, but their teas are superb. My drink of choice is the house specialty, Appalachian Fog. I also enjoy their breakfast and brunch specials that are made to order.
