Really cool coffee shop. We got the turkey bacon avocado sandwich which was delicious. I feel like a small handful of micro greens or even a little spring mix would go a long way in giving this sandwich a better presentation with some color. But that’s just me being picky. The taste was great & I believe their sourdough & pastries are mostly organic which is always a huge plus in my book.
Also my husband said the coffee pour over was really good- a hard thing to find.
Thankful to have found this little shop while passing through & would definitely come back to try the pastries 👌🏽

I enjoy visiting Folktale and make a point to do so when I'm in Corbin. Their large menu of house-made syrups paired with quality coffee makes for a delicious drink. Their tea menu is also quite large and has a good selection of classics and unique flavors using loose leaf tea. Drinks are available both hot and iced. Their pancakes and bacon were also so yummy! The scone was surprisingly good (I'm not usually a scone person and I accidentally ordered a vegan one). I only rated their service 4 stars just because I like to have baristas share their favorite drinks or suggestions and they don't always. But their service is top tier otherwise!

Everything was good... Better than good... I could literally taste the beans in the coffee. You could tell that a lot of extra effort goes into their work. We had the pancakes which my children loved and I had the sausage and egg biscuit. Yummy!! I told them to surprise me with the choice of coffee... They chose a vanilla latte and it was very good... And, that's coming from someone who's not a huge huge fan of flavored coffees. I would not hesitate to come back, again.

One of the best little coffee shops I’ve been to. I stopped by on a Saturday morning to grab a coffee, and ended up staying for a vegan orange scone and vanilla-caramel latte with oat milk. It was very good and the scone was excellent. The coffee was a very nice flavor. I appreciated the plant options available and kindness expressed by the workers. It recently rebranded into “Folktale” and I absolutely love it. It’s fitting as this little place seems unreal, yet something I can’t wait to tell others about. Stop by this gem next time you’re in Corbin, KY.

Absolutely bomb! My husband and I made a detour to get some coffee and it was completely worth it. The coffee was delicious, and the biscuits are OUT of this world! We both got egg and cheese biscuits, one of the best we’ve ever had!
Lovely decor and atmosphere, everyone was super friendly.

Crunchy Toasty-toast style grilled cheese is gift from the heavens! This is a cute artsy clean fun vibe I’d a place. They make frothy steamers with 15 homemade syrups- homemade jam, baked goods, and YES COFFEE. If your looking for a roadside snack in Corbin. This is your LITERAL JAM.

Everything was delicious. Bakery from scratch. We ordered a vanilla Frappe, Mocha Frappe, biscuit, egg, sausage, and gouda. Sourdough, sausages, egg, and Cheddar, Sunnyside up eggs, Sourdough pancakes, and more.
There were areas to sit at tables, a couch, laptop plug ins with a printer available, even bar stool seating. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. They also exhibit art from local artists on the walls.
The people were friendly and accommodating. They patiently helped us figure out our order.

I got an Iced Vanilla Latte and Biscuit, egg, and sausage for breakfast. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. They have pretty flowers on the tables.

It's all in the details. From the atmosphere to the menu, the owner(s) clearly take pride in this business and that's exactly who you should want to support! Corbin is lucky to have Folktale. If you appreciate artisan effort, you'll be happy you visited! They have tons of TEA options, too.

Stopped in to get a coffee and grabbed a BLT. It was amazing!!! They were so busy but still very friendly. Nathan was the barista and made me a great latte plus he was very nice even while being uber busy.
