Love love love the hazelnut latte. Best one I've ever had. The service is good too, makes me feel like I'm in the big city right when I'm here at home.

This place is the definition of local--locally roasted Signet beans; locally made jams, jellies, and breads; Sweet Designs pasteries; and outstanding, young community members making it happen. Forget Starbucks, people; Root is where it's at! This downtown coffeehouse truly demonstrates all the things that make Pittsburg great!

Said it closed at 9:00. Showed up at 8:50 and the doors were locked. Group of workers just stood at the counter. Oh well, McDonalds probably has better coffee.

Open Mic Night at the Root is great. 3 hours of good live music. Good variety of music. Wish it were more than once a month.

Fantastic local coffee shop with lots of drink options, plus unique PB&J options and pastries. They also sell local homemade products, such as jellys, jewelry, mugs and more. Always hopping.

Great coffee! Good atmosphere! Although Pittsburg is small, its fun to walk around downtown and discover places like the Root!

I entered with an open mind. Tastefully decorated space. Then the incense punched me right in the face. Young lady was pleasant and delivered a reasonably constructed dopio espresso macchiato. Rated down for lack of essence.

My Americano tasted like hot bleach water. Took a long time to get my wife's latte to her and they said they had trouble with one of their machines. Not much coffee flavor in hers either.
