Summer Moon Coffee

My new favorite coffee shop! Went in with not too many expectations and I was blown away. This moon milk is the real deal! My Winter Moon Latte was incredible and my wife loved her peppermint mocha moon as well. Props to the owners for creating a fun environment while also providing quick service. This is a must try for all Kansas Citians!

This is literally the best coffee I've had in my life! I discovered this place 4 days ago and I've been twice a day for the last 4 days. Whether running in to grab one to go, or plugging in to work since the vibe is so amazing, I'm hooked. The absolute worst thing about Summer Moon is the moment the cup runs out. Well done Summer Moon...well done!

I LOVE Summer Moon’s coffee & have gone there many times while I’m in the city. I recommend them to so many people. I usually get their nitro iced coffee or toasted s’mores iced latte (they’ll make it for me year round) :)

The last few times I’ve gone there I haven’t felt as welcome. Sometimes the barista at the register is just straight to the point & not super friendly. Sometimes there’s a barista working their butt off at the register while 3-4 coworkers stay standing behind chatting & not doing anything. One time there were only 2 baristas there in the evening & they didn’t seem like they wanted to be there (there was a slight rush & they seemed overworked- so I understand), but I left disappointed at the service.

I’ve bought beans here a few times and love them, but no one has been able to tell me about the taste or help guide me to a bag they like or think I’d like.

Being polite is everything to me & I try give the benefit of the doubt. Overall, I still love Summer Moon & will go back. Just wish I was greeted more friendly at times when I’m spending over $6-$7 on a coffee (& if my fiancé is with me- we’re usually spending almost $15).

I absolutely love Summer Moon and their coffee. I get a half moon milk latte with oat milk and it’s perfect. No extra syrup is needed for sweetness. The environment is good for the most part, however the back area gets SUPER cold on cold days, so it makes it a little harder to get work done if that is the only table available.

Menu takes some learning, as they have their own names for a lot of the items, but this is the best coffee shop I've been to. I'm so glad I stumbled on it after moving to the area. It's a tiny bit pricey, similar to starbucks pricing, but so much better tasting and the staff are all great.

Loses a star because the most important part of a coffee shop is the coffee, and here it’s nothing special. It’s nothing bad, understand — the espresso tastes just like Starbucks espresso.

I understand this is the expansion of a chain from Texas. They’ll continue to do well in the suburban shopping areas with clusters of chain restaurants. But KC has some cafes serving coffee from truly excellent local roasters (try eleven streets to the north at 80th and Metcalf), and they beat the espresso here all to pieces.

This place is wicked cool. The atmosphere is amazing and the shop is super clean. The moon milk is their main flavor for lattes and the like, but do not fear, it's so good that you wont want anything else. Also, the wood fired coffee has an incredible flavor, so even just a plain cup of Jo or a cold brew hits the spot. Definitely want to become a regular here.

I got an iced 1/4 Moon and it was delicious, but super rich and sweet.
I normally drink oat milk lattes, so the quarter moon with dairy was a lot creamier and sweeter than I’m used to.
I saw that they offer dairy-free moon milk lattes, so I think I’ll try that next time!

Overall it was a great experience. Service was quick and friendly, and the shop is really cute.
