Summer Moon Coffee

This is one of my favorite coffee shops! I love meeting up with friends and coworkers here.

The moon milk is awesome. I love that they can make it non-dairy as well, which is perfect for me as a vegan.

I like the set up of the shop itself. The staff are always nice.

Also, I’ve used their mobile app a couple of times and really like how I can order ahead when I need to.

Overall I highly recommend this place

We managed to arrive just before this place had their morning rush. Staff were courteous, welcomed us as we came in, and made good recommendations for their baked items since this was our first visit. They even explained their different Moon Milk drinks unique to this chain of shops and their wood-roasted coffee blends. Was a little too cold to take advantage of their outdoor seating but they had plenty of options available. Cool overall layout of the space, too. Merchandise options with something for anyone. Would definitely recommend!

We stopped by to get coffee and a little snack before a trip to the brewery. It was delicious! We got 1/2 summer moon latte and cheese danish (which I forgot to take picture of). They were delicious! Loved the simple menu with few options that they obviously are great at. Definitely would go back. The latte had a unique flavor which was really yummy.

This was an easy place to hangout and talk. The leather chairs were pretty comfortable with a fair amount of seating. The coffee was not exactly my taste but everyone's different. The staff was friendly and they keep the place clean.

Today, I got the iced blue moon latte (nearly $6). I don’t come here often, but when I do, I always love the atmosphere. The service is pretty fast and it’s not that busy in the evenings. It’s a great place to study or relax and just sip some coffee. The employees were very nice and helpful on helping us decide on what to order, and after we ordered our coffees, we considered getting more drinks because of how good they tasted. Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Overland Park.

Summer moon coffee is a delicious coffee shop conveniently located right off Metcalf. I ordered the 22oz half winter moon latte. At first I was confused what all the quarter, half, full moon menu items meant but as I got closer to the register, there was a lovely diagram for me to figure out the sweetness to espresso ratio.

The half moon is the perfect amount of sweetness to coffee for me. The caffeine content is real. If you are sensitive to caffeine like me, I suggest going for the smaller size.

Overall, the staff is very friendly and menu is easy to understand after following the diagram. I wish there was a decaf option cause I do love the taste of coffee but the caffeine content limits how often I can grab a drink.

The staff was helpful and friendly! The moon milk is delicious. They do sell local pastries and such in the shop. There are seasonal drinks as well! It’s super cute inside, and it’d be a great place to sit and work or read, etc.

Fun concept with decent variety of beverages and baked goods from KC's own super-delicious Heirloom Bakery and Emily Kate Bakery. Staff were nice and efficient, providing fast service for a long line. Be extra clear if you want a dairy alternative, but that's true everywhere. Super busy on a Saturday morning. More spacious inside than it looks from the outside, so I hope to give it another try on a weekday when the bustle might be a notch lower, and I'd like to sample more of the menu. The "Quarter Moon" latte was good but otherwise unremarkable. They've got some cold brew and nitro options that sound interesting, as well as "wood-fired" drip coffees I want to try, so I'll be back!

They use something they call moonmilk (blend of seven ingredients) as a core, and you decide how much to use and therefore how sweet you want your drink. I went all the way (Summer Moon) and my latte was very sweet with it and very good.

We always look for new coffee places in the area. Although this is a chain out of Texas, I am so glad that we stopped. It is delicious. We tried the autumn moon iced latte and it’s delicious! I think it must be the moon milk. I absolutely love it and will be back when I can!
