I wanted to like this place, especially considering the convenience, I really. really, did. But three times I've been and each time a disappointment. Twice was just the coffee- it wasn't great and tasted burnt. I figured it was just poor timing on my part; maybe I got there at the end of a pot before they switched over to new stuff. It happens.
The service is also mostly great! The staff is typically friendly and service is quick. But today was it for me.
I ordered a medium cold brew with a little bit of cream. What I got, was about 1/8 watered down iced coffee and 7/8 cream. When the girl handed it to me, I said, "I'm sorry but that's way too much cream. I only wanted little bit. There's hardly any coffee" -- she wanted to debate. "No, it just looks like that, you need to stir it around" -- by this time, two cars were now waiting behind me. I should have stayed and requested they replace the coffee. I felt bad for the cars behind me and just left, with my lightly flavored coffee water.
I won't be back, but for future customers: "Scooters-- please learn how to serve cold brew or take it off your menu"
Edit: time as passed since my original post. The customer service is good now, but the almond milk iced drinks always come chunky and it's disgustingly unappetizing.
Original: The manager at the Leavenworth location, Morgan, is unprofessional and lacks basic customer service skills. I always order the same drink, essentially - a large hot latte with some form of sugar free syrup, almond milk, and no foam. I have ordered no foam every time and receive well over an inch of foam more often than not. I have 3 years barista experience, 2 of which are from working at Scooter’s, so I know this is unacceptable. When I call to complain, Morgan is rude, essentially tells me they can offer me a free drink (which for me, it’s not about free drinks and I have declined this - for me it’s getting what I ordered and paid for) but they were “busy, so...” - her exact words every time I have called to complain. Instead of talking with her staff to fix the problem, she also tells me it is MY fault for not checking the drink before I leave, which is ridiculous because there are typically cars waiting, since I primarily go in the morning before work or on my way to class; she also tells me it is my fault for not coming right back, which is also ridiculous because Scooter's prides themselves on quick service times and efficiency. This morning (11/20), Morgan took my order - by now I am sure she is familiar with me and my drink, because she was not very cordial at the window. I ordered almond milk, paid for that almond milk (I know the price of my drink with and without almond milk, it is primarily how I know they got my order right since they rarely read the order back to me), and what I received was obviously not almond milk; I am severely lactose intolerant and have spent the past few hours completely sick. This is unacceptable and I do NOT recommend this location. I am infuriated, and will recommend to my friends, family, and aquiantences that they ought NOT go here because of the lack of professional customer service and at the risk that they get something that could make them sick when they EXPLICITLY order without.
Great coffee, smoothies, and take away snacks on the go. Always great staff that meet you with a smile and send you on your way, ready to come back for more
Very convenient location, two sided drive through, gets rather busy often but its because this scooters always does a good job. I hear a lot of people go on about the price which may be a bit true but I have never had a jacked up drink here. That, and these folks here are amazingly kind and courteous. I have had times in the past where I dropped one of my drinks when I got home, ran back to get another one, they asked if I forgot someone, I said no, I'm an idiot and dropped one, made me a fresh new one at no charge, even had a time to where their machine was having an issue with cards, I offered another card, they said don't worry you'll be back. That was a 15 dollar order! They are right, I'm back fairly often! I don't have a problem paying a little more for great service and good people!
needs new management, treating workers unfairly. the baristas work very hard and i do not believe they get the credit they deserve. i have tried to call and speak to management many of times but i can never seem to get through to them. NEEDS TO BE BETTER.
I wanted to order just a regular hot coffee with cream and they....didn’t have any made. What kind of coffee shop doesn’t have regular coffee brewed? So I opted for the coffee they did have brewed - their vanilla flavored and it was cold when I got it. Not a very pleasant experience.
Never had an issue with staff or my order, and I've been to quite a few Scooter's! They are my top pick when it comes to my coffee needs! My favorite coffee drink is the Carmelicious blender with an extra shot and whipped topping! Tip your barista! It's so worth it!!!
The managers might be the biggest joke I have ever seen, truthfully a sorry excuse for management. I have called multiple days in a row for weeks to speak with a manager and they are never in and I just get my info taken down and nothing comes from it. The barista’s are the only thing that are keeping Scooters alive and the baristas should get a raise to compensate for their back pain of carrying the company.

The peanut butter smoothies are very delicious and it's perfect for the heatwave coming.
It would be great if the price came down though.
