Aladdin Cafe

This was the beat Mediterranean food I've had in a long time!!! The meat fell apart & was tender (didn't even use a knife)...it qas the.meat combo. Reasonable prices & worth it. Will be going back & HIGHLY recommend.

All of their food is delicious. Those items mentioned are my favorite. If you are like me and need to drink milk with certain desserts, just order a small or regular cup of it, and they will bring it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Service is great, food was what you would expect, nothing more nothing less.

The smell caught our attention right after we walked in. So heavenly. Although small inside, it is clean and cozy (even the bathrooms!). We absolutely loved the food. The cauliflower Zahra appetizer is to die for. I highly recommend it! My 18 month old kept saying, "yummy" as she put the roasted cauliflower into her mouth. Both the chicken shawarma platter and the Petra platter were amazing. We loved the lentil soup that came with the entrees! Even my husband, who isn't a huge soup fan loved it. My husband and I are hearty eaters and we both left feeling a touch full, almost uncomfortable, but so happy and satiated. You really do get a good amount of food for what you pay for.

Update 2/22/18: Went in again tonight! As always, kind service and good food! Love the lentil soup and tried some vegetarian food that was new to me! Some things I disliked, but I do have to admit I have picky tastebuds! Regardless, great atmosphere, wonderful staff and owner, and overall clean and fun place! Thanks for the great food and service!

Amazing food. Best hummus in Lawrence Kansas. We love this restaurant. Good teas both hot and cold. The dressing on the house salad is so good!

Don't get the Biriyani...it is not biriyani. It was so disappointing. But i guess everything else was ok. Not the best value for money.
I guess we didnt know what to order ..just a bad day.. or maybe it is what it is. Very average. But a halal option in a small town, so might give it a try once.

Aladdin Cafe was the best choice I could have made for our wedding!! From the beginning, Mohammed worked with us to make everything smooth and easy. He's a pretty chill guy and you can tell he's been doing this for many years. My guests LOVED the food and the service was perfect. Mohammed himself even went around and helped clean up plates. If you are looking for Mediterranean food in the Lawrence/Kansas City area, this is your place!!

I was happy to return to this old favorite after moving away 6 years ago. The food is still delicious; the hummus in particular is unmatched. I love the Petra Platter but you really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Definitely try the lentil soup!
