Great atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service and spot on delicious food!

We decided to try a new breakfast place this morning and this is what we chose! We were very pleased! Food was great! It was super busy and we still had really good service. The Host was very nice & funny! Our waitress did great! Definitely recommend!

Excellent food, and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. Love this place. I will continue to eat there.

Perkup has excellent homemade food and friendly service! If you go for breakfast, you must get the hash browns. And the gourmet french toast. And any of the egg options. So good!

If you live in des moines and have not been here yet, and you enjoy breakfast and large coffee menus, the only question to ask you is; Why haven't you been here yet??? Amazing food, amazing food selection, and staff are the friendliest around. No joke, these people are helpful and attentive. The food is straight up home cooking and legit diner/breakfast food. My wife enjoyed the large selection of coffee options. The breakfast appetizer is a must, you'll thank me.

Excellent breakfast! I had the Jake (-onions & peppers) with bacon, it was delicious. I also enjoyed the strawberry/pineapple homemade jam on sourdough toast. My cousin enjoyed the Grilled Ham & Cheese on sourdough with a cup of the amazing cheeseburger soup. Caressa is an awesome server plentiful refills of our delicious iced tea. Prompt and courteous service well worth our 20 minute wait.

The reviews looked good so thought we would check it out. Its a nicely decorated place, we had a good server, food was nothing to brag about. My husband ordered the sausage gravy and biscuit, the gravy tasted like cream of chicken soup out of a can. Chicken salad sandwich was ok.

What a wonderful hidden gem. Well it’s not hidden, those in the know are there all the time. It’s always hoppin when we’re in there. The food is fantastic and homemade. No thin, limp commercial quality bacon. Great juicy pieces. The pancakes are giant and fluffy. Omelets are fantastic.

Very much the community diner. Food is great. Staff is fantastic. My wife and I visit at least once a week, and meet friends in the community all the time. A comfortable place to return.

I got the apple cinnamon french toast with ham and it was great!! They get their bread locally from Big Sky Bread Company which just takes it to the next level of tasty. Our server, Haley, was sweet and very attentive to our table. My coffee cup was always full and she checked in on us often. Overall, enjoyed my experience, and I'm sure we'll be back!
