This is my favorite place to get a latte on campus. The coffee is always the perfect temperature -- very warm but cool enough to drink right away. Friendly staff, quick service, and tastes great.

The best mochaccino I have ever had. the coffee is delicious and reasonably priced, and the salads are on point. Downside is no Wi-Fi, however, when I go I find myself spending more time talking and interacting with friends and less time on my phone, and isn't that the point of getting coffee and a quick bite with a friend or just relaxing and unplugging from it all? I may not come here to study but I'd still stop in and grab a coffee and a rainbow salad to go anyday

Ok good things,
one of the new kids on the block, as in opened in January. Have fun coffee from Seattle because they say it's good but also because that company hooked them up with their business gear.
Have messenger coffee roasters coffee now.
Yesterday I had a cold brew that was made from their messenger coffee and it was tasty. Took it to go. Today I had a cappuccino and a crossiant and they where tasty.
Bad thing, no wifi.
After the fact of buying my capp and crossiant I asked if they had public wifi, the gal said no.
It's my bad for not checking before hand. Had I known they had no wifi, I would have most definitely left and found another cafe/coffee shop. I am about the whole "but local" thing, but no wifi will almost always change my mind. And yes that's the picky thing i'm going to complain about this coffee shop and rate it 3. take it or leave it.

Delicious coffee and food. I love the schnitzel sandwich and the falafel. I also highly recommend the Labneh and pita. The chocolate chip cookies are too die for

Best dirty chai tea and coffee I've found on campus! The atmosphere is mainly for talking/meeting up, as there is no wifi, but I haven't found that to be an issue. Since the location is so convenient, I can easily stop by and get something to go if I'm studying. Staff is very warm and friendly!

As a coffee fanatic who has tried it all and been everywhere, worked on a coffee farm, lived in Seattle for 8 years... And is of Mediterranean heritage...
I have NOTHING but praise for Cortado. The coffee is from Fonte roasters, a really quality bean and roastery, the food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is both minimalist and welcoming WITHOUT BEING PRETENTIOUS.
No fancy words, no gimmick, just really good coffee.
AND single stall, gender neutral bathrooms.
Please go and then buy me coffee. I

I had the macchiato and ultimate croissant. My wife had an iced mocha and Iowano on a croissant. The coffee was bad. My macchiato was extremely bitter; tasted like it was over-extracted. Either they use terrible coffee or the servers don't know how to operate an espresso machine.
My wife's iced mocha was also not good. Very thick like when you make hot chocolate with milk.
My sandwich was good, my wife thought hers was too cold.
Furniture seemed cheap. They don't have wifi which bothers a lot of people, but I don't mind.
I hope they can focus on improving their coffee quality.

There's no Wi-fi. It's 2019, and every cafe should have Wi-Fi. Their claim is that they want people to chat, and I asked sarcastically if it's s okay if I read. They're not interested in having people chat. They want people to drink the coffee, eat the food, and then get out fast as a way for them to make more money. They should be honest about that.
The prices are a little higher than other places, and the quality of the sandwiches and coffee are good, but certainly no better than comparable places in Iowa City.

Cortado has window seating that I adore, but the coffee is... not great, and the pastries are usually disappointing. I can’t say much for the food, and definitely don’t mind the lack of WiFi, but I’ve had several orders messed up, or just taste generally bad for what I’m paying, and have been made EXTREMELY uncomfortable by an employee almost every time I come in to the café. I like the place well enough aside from these complaints, but getting subpar espresso drinks and the stink-eye from people behind the bar EVERY time has stopped me from visiting.

I ordered a ham, egg, and Swiss cheese croissant it was really delicious. I talked to the owner and he said that they bake their pastries fresh everyday. It was leas than $5 and was a smaller portion but well worth it.
