She had the salmon and eggs and I had the pork belly Benedict. Her food wa shot and mine was barely warm. But a couple right next to us had the same exact and got their food almost at the same time and his pork belly was pipping hot. Might try again but was a slightly disappointed experience. No one even checked on us about our food so I couldn’t relay my concerns

Good brunch spot with trendy fare. It was easy to get a table for 2 and a short wait for a table for 6. The food was reasonably priced and quality was generally good. The only complaint was that the meat in the steak and eggs was a bit sinewy and chewy. Service was prompt and friendly. We were in and out in less than an hour.

The food was very good. The coffee I got was 5 out of 10.

We went here today for lunch. This place would get a 3 and half stars if there was a half. The food was decent but a very limited menu.
They did have outside seating which was a plus and all the wait staff wore mask and served at a distance. I had the pork Cubans which was very good. The ladies had the salmon and the berries toast. I recommend getting the mango smoothie very good.
The price was on the high end for this type of place but not bad. I would go back but would try some place else 1st.

Diverse menu and one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had.

Service here is terrible. Literally had to make an account to leave a review because I never do. Food is also not good at all, my sandwich tasted like a frozen sausage patty from the freezer. My boyfriends grilled cheese was also not good at all, the cheese was hardly melted. Nobody refilled our water the entire time we were there. Please take your money elsewhere. We had to beg for attention since no one checked in on us.

Was in town visiting family & decided to try St. Kilda Cafe based on the reviews. Unfortunately we did not have an experience reflective of the reviews. When we arrived, the restaurant was busy but there were open tables. We were seated around 11am and placed our order about 5 minutes later. I received my chai latte abt 15 mins later. I ordered almond milk, but it tasted like regular milk. No worries, my partner agreed to take the chai & I would take his mint tea when it arrived. Another 15 mins later, still no mint tea. We flagged down our wait person- who had not stopped by the table since taking our order - to ask about the tea. She went to check, and bought the tea to our table within 5 mins. Another 25 mins go by & our food still had not arrived. I ordered the collective toast adding eggs & avocado & my partner ordered the Saint Breakfast sandwich with bacon. We were looking to for our wait person & she wasn't visible. Around 12:10pm we flag down the host who seated some next to us. We explained we were traveling & simply could not wait any longer for our food. She apologized & indicated she would check with the kitchen. I told her if the food was not plated, we would simply pay for the drinks as we needed to leave. 2 minutes later she returned with our food. I would love to say that despite the wait the food was amazing, but sadly that was not the case & to compound matters my eggs were bland & cold. My partners hashbrowns & sandwich were also cold and underwhelming on taste. We took a couple bits - paid our tab & left the rest of the food. The pix of the food looked great so I was very disappointed. Will not back when we visit again next month.

The Chef has created a menu beyond compare. The dishes have such full flavor and incredible ingredients that your palette will be satiated! The portions are perfect and the presentation is artistic. The atmosphere is beautiful, however, the clientele is young and fashionable and the temperature is a bit chilly. The food is so spectacular that I will return to try each item on the menu! Enjoy!

Visiting from Minneapolis and found this great stop for a trendy, fresh food type of lunch. The atmosphere was modern and chic. We had the salmon club and Turkey sandwich- both were incredible- fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and very filling. We might even grab food for the road tomorrow because it was so good. I would highly recommend!

I love their modern ambiance at St. Kilda. I was greeted immediately and seated! The staff is ALWAYS super friendly and welcoming!! St. Kilda's menu is so delicious and full of healthy choices including gluten free and vegan items! S/O to my favorites: Chelsea and Ashlee <3 The owner, Alex is the best Restaurant owner I have ever met. You'll see him running about making sure everyone is taken care of. I am a regular there and have never had a bad experience. The food presentation is so on point that sometimes it looks too pretty to eat, haha!
Yesterday I ordered their recommended Barbacoa Beef Torta and surprisingly it was super delicious! With that I had a Maple Latte with Cinnamon! I am one to get my "usual order" however their featured meals are intriguing and I have never been disappointed! St. Kilda is FAVORITE place in Des Moines!
