Very friendly, wonderful! Great coffee, food and people!!!

First time here and it was wonderful. Free WiFi, hot and cold coffee drinks, open late with other beverages for sale, and a decent menu. There's also live music some nights. It has a great coffee house feel.

I was just passing through town on a quick visit to one of our facilities and stopped in for coffee. Great shop, my latte was awesome and so was the almond biscotti. Highly recommended when you're in Decorah.

I got the chicken salad on a croissant, which was fresh and delicious! The peach, pear, and apricot smoothie was very refreshing.

I wish I could have eaten dinner here, but time was not permitting. The iced latte I got was powerful and tasty and amazing, and the lemon blueberry cake I splurged on was, as they claimed, fresh and warm out of the oven.

We heard so much about this coffee shop so we went to try it out after having a terrible cup of coffee at the hotel winnesheik. Unfortunately Java Johns had the worst cup of coffee I have had in a really long time even worse than the coffee we had at the hotel. Usually I will drink it anyway for the caffeine but I had to throw it away as soon as we got outside. Yuck. I gave it 2 stars because the building is really nice and the lemon muffin top we got was good but don't go for the coffee.

A wonderful place for a cup of coffee and a scone. If you get that scone in the afternoon it is half price. Life is good if you have time at 2PM for a cup of coffee and a scone, and this is a great place to enjoy them.

Only reason why it's 3 stars is because this is the best place in Decorah to get coffee and the cinnamon rolls are the best. It's good quality food and drinks but the staff is awful. I've frequently have had drinks not made right and the service is painfully slow. I've also had employees argue with me because I didn't use the proper term for a drink even though I am also a barrista.

Always a good cup of.coffee!.There muffin tops are amazing! :)

Good coffee! The pastries are delicious! Nice place to sip your coffee inside or a patio out back. I stop every time I am in Decorah!
