Burgie's Coffee | South Ames

Burgie’s is the perfect place to study, catch up with friends, read, or get some work done. They have a fireplace (SO cozy) and lots of windows plus outdoor seating! The perfect year-round spot to spend a few hours or just stop in to grab a to-go drink.

These folks have raised their game considerably since I was last here a few years ago. They've improved their roasting craft... No longer churning out shiny, over-roasted beans or brewing in loveless ways. Well done, guys, keep up the good work!

Great place to sit and read, do homework, meet friends, have a casual business meeting, or just drive thru for coffee! Occasionally they host live music events. Baristas are friendly and on top of things. Plus there's a rewards program if you stop by frequently.
And I must say having a coffee shop, bank, and a gas station in the same building is a uniquely Iowan thing that works very well.

Good coffee but there were flies on the pastries. When I noticed the staff about it they said "It is summer time flies are everywhere". This attitude makes me worried more than the fly itself. I also found a giant bug dead next to the fire place, and I can tell it was there for quite some time.

I always stop here on my way out of town! Their coffee is the best! There is usually a line but its worth the wait. Employees are always so friendly.

Warm and cozy place to have coffee, tea, shakes, food and more. Nice seating so you can visit with friends. Nice warm fireplace. Friendly staff. Love it here. Recomend trying their Jamocha Shake.

Great iced coffee. Great salted carmel chocolates. Great atmosphere once you step past the gas station. Really great customer service!

It's really a convenience store, but you can buy gas and other treats too. The coffee shop is attached and serves crafted sandwiches, soups and coffee and offers free WiFi while you enjoy your stay.

Great coffee shop in Ames that is actually committed to good coffee. I've always felt that the staff are very kind and friendly and looking for ways to serve their customers. Great environment to hang out and meet with people. Would highly recommend this shop as the best coffee shop in Ames.

This place really cares about their beans. They pour over in the Kalita Wave and their staff was super knowledgeable and fun to talk to about coffee. We went 3 days in a row while visiting.
