I don't know the espresso they use or the chocolate, but I can still tell you the iced mocha here is worth driving to. It's not a chain so definitely need to support this place and it looks like the college kids agree. It was packed with them in the mid-afternoon. They also had an amazing collection of books for sale; Eric Mataxes, John C Maxwell, Dave Ramsey and more.

Good customer service. They were a little stressed on a Saturday morning, maybe a little slow, but the food was good. They made a special effort to help choose an item for food allergies. Decaf espresso ended up being weak. Overall a good place to go.

We stopped by Burgie's while traveling. At first the gas station throws you off, but it's a cute place and the latte I purchased was delicious! I loved the taste of their house made hazelnut syrup. One of my companions purchased a mint green tea latte with oat milk and was also extremely pleased with the dairy and gluten free options. Friendly, charming baristas, and definitely worth a five minute detour from I-35!

A cozy place to work on homework, meet with friends or just to relax. Great food at great prices.

Best cafe in Ames for coffee drinks! Love their fireplace. Their menu options are hearty. Good bang for your buck!

Good basic coffee shop. Surprisingly cozy for being attached to a convenience store. We enjoyed the faux wood burning stove.

This place is the real deal for Coffee. Don’t let the fact that’s it’s attached to a Convenience Store on a Gas Station. This is Espresso and Espresso based drinks as it should be. The best!!!

I’ll keep this very simple. Upon entering Burgie’s, I noticed one thing very apparent; the ambiance. They are very laid back, family friendly, and, I highly suspect everyone there loves the Lord Jesus Christ. The food and sweets were outstanding. The folks warm and inviting and we didn’t feel rushed at all. My wife and I decided after this, our first visit, to be the newest regulars. Thank you so much for making us feel at home and part of the family. My name is Charles and, I’m 69 years old. Yes, you may call me papa or grandpa.😎

This place is a hidden gem! Didn't know it was located adjacent to the gas station, but it is the bomb!!!! I highly recommend the farmers burrito and the southwest burrito. Delicious! Staff is friendly and awesome. Cosy setting with a pellet stove (I think) and a lot of seating. Check it out! It's great!

I am a regular and can't seem to find another spot that is equally as awesome. This has some of the best espresso, coffee, and food in Ames. The Farmer Burrito is delicious and the avocado smash is tasty too. The staff is always very pleasant and they don't seem to mind how busy they normally are. Be prepared to wait sometimes as they can get busy. If you want to get in and out juat order the drip and call it good. This is the OG location.
