Latea Bubble Tea Lounge - Housemade Family Recipe Boba

I have only been here once, but it was great! It was my first bubble tea experience and it sure won't be my last. Their Oolong tea was delicious! The lounge had a very peaceful atmosphere to it, you could sit, relax, and enjoy your tea in several different couches or chairs. Also a great place to work on projects and assignments for all the Purdue students!

Definitely the best bubble tea in town. There is almost always a bit of a wait on weekends, but it's always worth it. There are a wide range of options and dairy-free milks for their milk teas. Their regular tea is great, but if you're looking for a treat, I'd go with a milk tea with boba (tapioca balls). I really love that they encourage you to select your own sweetness level, it makes your drink taste just how you like it.

Fresh, Consistent, and Delicious! This is our go-to spot for bubble tea and we're proud to carry their branded line of teas at our shop. The Latea staff is always incredibly polite, welcoming, and accommodating. Great brand, refreshing food and drinks, and an amazing staff. 10/10 would recommend!

My friend and I wanted to try something. New and stopped here on our lunch break. The inside was nice and wale had very good service. I wish I could say the same for the tea but it was pretty disappointing. I got a rose milk tea and It was decent but my friend got a mango green tea and it was one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted. It tasted like pure perfume. Everyone that’s tried it agreed. If you go I would not recommend the mango green tea

The staff was extremely friendly and so helpful to our group, which knew very little about bubble tea. They took the time to walk through their offerings. Most importantly, the tea was delicious! The interior was also very nicely designed and was a great place to hang out with friends. Make sure you have the time for ordering and waiting, because every drink is hand-made to order.

I am so frustrated with my recent experience here. Lates used to be a great place to hang out with friends and get some great teas. However, at this time, they put ice to my friend’s milk tea after we asked for no ice. In the salted cream float, the cream dissolved so quickly (2-3 min) and they seemed to put full sugar when I ask for half sugar.
Really hope this place can become as good as it used to be.

My personal favorite for boba tea in West Lafayette. Always enjoy coming here with friends. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I recommend the brown surger boba over honey boba but both are very good!

Best place in town that I've found for boba/milk tea! Often has a decently long line, but was very fast today (probably because Purdue students are mostly gone for the summer).

I don't care for bubble tea so I can't give you a accurate opinion on the quality of the bubble tea, but I do really enjoy non-bubble teas. Latea has some great tea and coffee drinks. My top 3 would be: Bouquet Milk Tea, Tiramisu Milk Tea, and Carmel Macchiato. If you don't like those types of drinks then they also have regular brewed teas and coffee.

Latea also has some food such as French Fries and cookies. I really enjoy the Curry Fries, but I didn't care for some of the other Fry flavors. The only real issue with Latea is the wait times. It takes quite a long time for you to get what you order. Sometimes 10+ minutes. While this doesn't really bother me, it could be a big deciding factor if you wanted to grab something to drink before class or work.

Overall I recommend trying Latea. I'm certain you will find at least one thing you enjoy regardless of you preference on Tea and Coffee drinks.

I don't drink bubble tea, but my friends really like them. I always order the oolong green tea. It's very rejuvenating. Also, the place has a good student clientele, and a hip, cozy feel to it. Staff is super nice
