Really nice coffee, and a comfortable atmosphere.

As a student at the nearby university, the Abbey is a comfy place to come study. Free wi-fi, high quality coffee, a pleasant ambience, and tasty cookies...what more could you ask for. It's a nice little respite to be found in little ole Marion.

Great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. I enjoyed the Guatemalan single-origin they roast, but the El Salvador I followed-up with was even better! Kudos to Levi for the engaging discussion. Definitely worth pedalling 3h45m to try!

Friendly staff. The coffee shop itself is cozy. It opens up to a book store on one end and a larger room on the other. They do offer almond milk and have a sugar free flavoring if watching your sugars and carbs

Quiye possibly the best coffee place in Indiana - incredible coffee (I had the latte), very large place but split into 4 sections - main coffee shop, inside balcony overlooking main seating, outdoor chairs/tables (could use umbrellas), and a very large room next door that has a stage. On the other side of the coffee shop is a bookstore that is accessible from Abbey. The music is not normal coffee shop tunes, sort of alternative coffee shop music similar to some things played at Starb's.
The beans are locally roasted in small batches, so there is a really good, true flavor experience...not the burnt taste that needs flavorings to hide.
Staff was incredible and fun, even some patrons were doing a short dance when certain songs came on. Many were there studying, I was working in the balcony on a business trip.
Definitely will return to try more beans!

Excellent coffee with their heart in the right place. Love everything about the place. Great space, designs, people, and service. Easy five star for the best specialty coffee shop that's in Marion by choice.

I know things aren't normal because of Covid, but I think it's ridiculous that if you want to shop in the Tree of Life store you have to go through the Abbey Coffee Shop. There was no one to assist me with finding what I wanted in the store. I wandered quite a while before I located what I wanted to purchase. Then I had to carry it over to the coffee shop to pay. It just seemed inconvenient and silly to not be able to use the door to the store and all the help was in the coffee shop.

Always a delightful coffee stop! Pleasant atmosphere and friendly baristas

The Abbey always has great coffee and their baristas are really talented and friendlv. Their space is great to just hang out in—and even if it’s full of students doing homework, it’s still usually pretty quiet and chill. Stay a while am try a few coffees!

I always enjoy the coffee here, and a big shout out to Levi for his care and attention to the roasts.
One note to keep in mind, the roasts are intentionally on the lighter side. For those that only drink darker coffee, you may be disappointed, but I would encourage you to give it a try. The lighter roasts can bring out much better fruit and citrus notes that you just won't find otherwise.

I love the design on the coffee! I got a heart flower, and it was PERFECT. This place is AWESOME! They have laptops so you can do your homework, an upstairs with a bar and a sofa, a library, and a conference room!
