Food = Incredible. Location = Horrible. Honestly, this is some of the best soup I've ever had. Also honestly, if you aren't within walking distance, don't even try and drive here between the hours of 11 and 1. The parking situation is just horrific. Subito is on a small diagonal strip surrounded by 4 one-way streets. The only available parking is street parking, and that is always full. So you end up circling the block a few times, hoping to hit the lottery, and eventually you just have to give up. When I go with co-workers, we will drop someone off for all the orders and continue driving around, but when you are solo, you need to find a spot, and these simply don't exist during the lunch hour.
It is such a shame. I can go to any restaurant on Mass Avenue during the lunch hour and find a spot to park. But due to it's location, I rarely even try anymore with Subito. I would say less than 30% of the time I'm able to find a parking spot.
Hopefully, these guys can eventually relocate to a better spot in the city. This one-block stretch of Virginia Ave is literally the worst spot in the downtown area.
We stopped in on our way back home to Chicago from Nashville because we wanted to support local (and Subway grosses us out). This place was super friendly, welcoming, the soups and the bread were all homemade and awesome! The TBOB sandwich was ON POINT. Will definitely stop in if we find ourselves in Indy again :)
Subito is a must for lunch if you work downtown. They’re only open for lunch during the workweek and they don’t have any seating but if you’re looking for a good meal then this is the place. They make everything from scratch and give you a hearty portion. I haven’t had anything that is not the best quality and delicious!
Subito has been consistently awesome since the day it opened! My team's first pick for lunch! Please open a shop in Carmel/Zionsville/Fishers/Westfield/Noblesville :)
I got the Scottsdale salad and it was AWESOME! Great portion size that kept me full all day! It was so good I forgot to take a picture of it! Oops! This take-out establishment is a real gem!
When I started a new job nearby, my coworkers were always raving about Subito, so I gave it a try. New soups to try, softest cookies around, and not to mention the service is unbelievable. They learned my name on the first visit and remembered me a month later. I will continue to try new soups each month. Their soup calendar is hanging at my desk!
Soup isn't my go to. This place is great though. Fastest line in town even in a rush. The brilliant thing about it is they had an add on system. $1 for a small grilled cheese, or an extra role is awesome. It seems silly, but go there and realize this is the best idea ever.
Campbell MacDonald
#1 lunch spot in the area, with a delicious rotation of well-crafted soups, sandwiches, and salads. Get a cookie.
