One of the best coffee places in town. Warm and cozy with great coffee and snacks. Not crazy expensive either. Baristas here are very welcoming and friendly

Neat, classy, and delicious.
I wish they would heat up the pastires when serving, but coffee was great!

Amazing atmosphere, the place is really good for hangout. I can sit there for hours. On the other hand the coffee is not worth at all. Either they dont know how to make Simple Americano with steamed milk as it was was cold and I am very sure the milk was not steamed by any chance. There are bakery products but no provision to warm those up - facepalm. I will surely return to this place but may have to try the Signature coffee if they have any.

Good coffee. Their specialty seems to be in their lattes, where they artfully sprinkle powder and even add aromatics. People seemed to love these.
I asked for a cappuccino, which they said they don’t do. But they could do a flat white which is close enough.
Fun, open space. Busy during a Friday morning, with a mix of students and business people.

Such good coffee! I’m surprised it wasn’t busier. Great location with a super fun atmosphere that I haven’t had since college. The pistachio orgeat was awesome, so get that in a latte. I had to go back and try the orange cardamom latte, which was also really good. Definitely recommend to coffee snobs or anyone passing through Indy.

This place is a definition of a library! Pretty chill and fun to have coffee with your friends as well as studying or have a business meeting. It has a pretty nice view. It contains a theater and YMCA inside.

I visited Coat Check Coffee today with my boyfriend. It was very quiet there like a library, but had soft music playing in the background. A perfect place to study. The baristas were very friendly there as well. I ended up ordering a butterscotch latte, while he got a hot chocolate. The latte was very good. It was sweet, but not too sweet. And the hot chocolate there, was better than any hot chocolate I've ever made lol. If I'm not mistaken, I believe it was made with Ghana chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt. And of course each drink was decorated with awesome latte art.

I love this place! Has been my favorite coffee shop since I've moved to Indy. I highly recommend the pistachio latte and the almond croissant!

Inside the Athenaeum. So so so good, we got the Honey Latte and the Butterscotch latte. 7 dollars each, so a little pricey, but absolutely worth it to sit in a cool historic building and enjoy coffee with a friend!
