Fortezza Coffee

We lived in Fort Wayne years ago and get to visit about once a year for my partners work. This most recent trip we were staying downtown, and our first morning we decided to swing in and get coffee from our old favorite Fortezza - ended up staying for breakfast. We came back EVERY day. The staff is so kind, the coffee was delicious, and the food was stellar. I’m currently dairy free for my CMPA baby, and they had no issue making the sweet potato hash (with egg, zucchini and chorizo of course) with olive oil instead of butter.

The matcha latte with oat milk was perfect, our coffee was wonderful as well. We brought home some beans that they sold and we’ve been enjoying those now that we are back home.

They charge you $4.25 for what they call their “large” latte. Don’t be fooled. It’s the same size as any other coffee place’s medium—12 oz. Coffee mediocre, at best. Sullen, unsmiling staff. No thanks. Next time I’ll wait for the Dash-In to open.

Fortezza coffee might be an acquired taste or maybe we didn't order the right drinks. The seasonal horchata latte had a strange texture so don't order that if you are particular about textures/consistency. The service was good though!

Everything is a 5/5. Coffee, service, vibe, location, and baked goods. This will be a must have when I’m back in Fort Wayne!

I love fortezza coffee, it’s in a great location and the coffee is top notch. The place is very unique and artsy it’s definitely a vibe! If you’re ever in the Fort Wayne area check it out, I promise, you won’t be disappointed. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Amazing place! Very chill, great coffee, tea and others! Clean, upbeat and cheap prices right downtown. Totally would recommend!

Phenomenal coffee shop and I would highly recommend! They have great customer service, in a fantastic location, the shop itself is beautiful inside and out. You can sit in the shade on the porch or inside. Did I mention the very tasty looking treats OH MY!! Something for everyone. Seems to be a great spot for everyone. The coffee is delish! If you purchase a bad of coffee beans for home, they will even grind the coffee beans for you before you leave!

Got a chi tea latte and it was amazing. The staff here is super friendly and the atmosphere was great. A must visit if your in the area.

Decent iced coffee. One of the worst lattes I've ever had, though.

It's great to have a quality coffee house right in the heart of downtown! Also Chapmans Brewery that also is served there as well! Great for meetings!!
