The Toast Cafe

Very clean, well managed restaurant. Large menu, quick service and true hometown atmosphere. Food is good and plentiful. Would be a fun destination for a road trip.

The place looks like a dive as it has been around for a long time. The staff was very friendly and the food was really good, hot and tasted fresh. If in the area I will eat there again.

This is the best breakfast shop in Anderson! They are locally owned family joint.

It is located in the heart of Downtown Anderson adjacent from the public library. There is employee parking behind the building, parking out on the street, and a rock/clay parking lot reserved for The Toast parking right across the street.

The service is top notch and they never rush you no matter how busy they get. The family atmosphere and treatment from the staff are beyond comparison.

Better than any chain restaurant and I've yet to find a better breakfast nook.

The food was excellent, huge portions and very tasty. Service was a little slow do to them being very busy, but our waitress was awesome once she was able to get to us.

Genuine homemade breakfast food made every day. It's always packed, but it's worth the wait and the service is excellent! It has become my new favorite place to eat!

I've driven by this place hundreds of times over the past 25 years and never went until my daughter invited me. Was it great such large portions friendly people nice quaint atmosphere definitely will be back

On our way to Ft. Wayne and could not wait another hour + to eat. Googled best restaurants in Anderson, Ind. Toasts had more 4 star for good food. Well, I can honestly say the plates were full, tasted clean and we were filled . Club Turkey salad, grilled chicken salad and the Chicken Charlie sandwich was pretty good. Waitress was a lot scratchy with customers and lacked genuine patience. Yet she delivered and kept all running smoothly by herself at a little after 1:00. Definitely a place where the locals go. 2 steps above Macdonalds.. ok, if I come again, I’d for sure do breakfast.

They messed up my order once, walked all the way back to work just to turn around and walk back. But guess what, that won't stop me from going there. The girls are all wonderful, and the food is fantastic. This diner is my only stop for breakfast in Anderson.
