The Toast Cafe

Good food, good prices but it is the owners and staff that really make this a great place to go. They make you feel like part of the family. They are the most special people! The Toast is great!

When I think of Toast restaurant, I think of future nostalgia. Someday, God willing, I will be sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch, telling the grandkids, "I remember when you didn't have to choose between chain-restaurants and expensive restaurants. There were these things called diners, staffed by people, and every order was served on plates, and the waitresses would refill your coffee for you; breakfast was available all day, and there were specials, which were often pie or cobbler." Fortunately this description is currently not a recollection, but an experience called Toast, in downtown Anderson, IN. It is small (a little too small; there must be some way to relocate the bathroom.) and cozy. The menu includes everything one would expect at your standard diner -- burgers, pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, omelettes, and more. Prices are slightly above average, but so are the portions. As one might hope based on the name of the restaurant, the toast here is good too.

Really good food but took way too long for our order to come out to us and they served the regulars before us that came in 10 mins or more after us.

The food is exceptional, the staff are great. If you want good food and the hometown diner experience, this is your spot!

The wife and I eat breakfast here everytime we get the chance.(25-30times) Good food good service and they have about the best coffee around. Price is about average for what it is. Out of the many times i have been here i have never been disappointed.

Every time I come in the staff is so courteous and makes me feel so welcome. Food is great and is served promptly. I recommend Toast Cafe highly and I come here as often as I can.
