Ashbary Coffee House

been going here for like 4 years & haven’t had any bad experiences except for one. The male worker whose tall and hefty with the long brown beard is really rude and predatory. He stared at my chest as I approached the coffee house, and then grabbed my hand in the middle of a PANDEMIC when I went to return the pen I used in the jar because it was the “clean pen jar” and apparently grabbing a strangers hand during a pandemic is safer than just cleaning the pens or politely correcting someone. Idk who this dude is but I definitely will turn around if I ever see him working again.

This place is a really nice hidden gem. Every Thursday at 10pm there is a free improv show upstairs with the purchase of a drink, and the staff are really friendly. The fact that it's called a coffeeshop is very misleading to the actual vibe of the location. Make sure to stop by if you can.

Loved the coffee variety, paninis and wraps! The atmosphere is one of a kind! Only thing that concerns me- and perhaps I just didn’t see it!- is if there’s wheelchair access? I wanted to bring my brother here because I know he’d love it but didn’t see an accessible entrance.

Always been an amazing place for good coffee and insightful conversations. Open mic on Wednesdays is always a great time. Watching talent while sipping on some good drinks!

I love to come here to hang out and chill with friends, the decor and vibe of it all is unique. I love the coffee and Italian soda here and the everyday homemade sweets are to die for !!

I didn't visit recently, probably about 6 months ago but honestly didn't know they were listed! Anyway, this place has a very dark, dirty vibe. Not only was there barely any lighting, the furniture was very outdated, the carpet was old and worn out, and it had a a funky smell in the air. I reluctantly got a coffee but refused to get any food because of fear of getting food poisoning. Definitely won't be back!

NEVER pass this place up. The staff is amazing, the drinks are great, and their events are always fun! I've been going to the place since I was in high school and even though I've moved further away, I still go back every once in a while for a Cafe Vanilla Mocha - so good!

I am absolutely APPALLED at my recent experience with this place! I am a long time customer of this coffee shop, and over the course of the past few years, the quality of both the coffee and the staff have dropped to the point that I would recommend just about ANYWHERE else.

I am currently a student teacher working with children and young adults with autism and I stopped here after work with my fiance to plan an upcoming vacation. After having sat down for all of three minutes, a woman named Vicki came outside, as rudely as ever, and told me that I need to buy something to do business there. I had barely sat down and I told her I DID plan on purchasing a coffee in just a minute. I'm sorry that I was dressed up, I WAS AT WORK, and now looking for a nice relaxing coffee. After asking for the woman's name (assuming she was an underpaid and upset barista) she told me she was the OWNER. Well, VICKY, I will NEVER be going near your establishment again. That level of rudeness was COMPLETELY uncalled for. I also want to mention that there were maybe 3 other customers, I now see why.

Last year the coffee shop was going out of business (probably because no one there seems to care about the coffee or the customer service) and there was an offering to keep it open. If your business needs to accept donations to stay open, and then you are still incredible rude to those who show up to buy coffee, then you DESERVE to be out of business.

I hope you are reading this Vicky, and that you know that YOU ALONE are the reason that I will be telling anyone willing to listen to avoid your shop like the plague.

Random stop. Cute little plaza. And the Chai vanilla tea w/ espresso was fabulous! I live over an hour away but already planning a trip to come back with friends to try the food and explore the other shops
