Before the pandemic hit, for many years I was a three- or four-times a week breakfast regular. Knew all the then staff and the then owners and they knew me. Even had my own special server. Food was great as were the prices and the service was excellent. Never had an empty cup of coffee. Finally returned recently after a requisite COVID hiatus. New owners, no familiar faces, higher prices. Ordered my favorite menu item on three separate occasions and was disappointed each time. The hash tasted like it came straight out of the can. In the past, I was never disappointed whether choosing from the breakfast or lunch menu. The only other food "disappointment" was their Reuban sandwich. My fault for expecting one like they serve at Katz's Deli in New York. BIG difference but understandable. Anyway, to make a long story longer, I intend to continue to frequent Courier. I just like the place. Get to know the new staff and find a new favorite breakfast order. They have gone to breakfast all day, so there are many opportunities. I say give it a try.
We have been coming to the Courier for the last 30 years and usually enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Today we ordered takeout and were literally in shock due to the terrible food and service. Our two burgers were inedible, the fries were soggy and the deluxe ribeye was second rate - missing items. We had to throw our meals away. The service was as bad as the food. We are very disappointed.
Very disappointed in changes. The "pay by weight" salad bar option is gone and that was a highlight to the business-will seiously consider not returning on that change alone. A lot of menu items were out/unavailable. The wait for our food was long. My daughter's beef Manhattan was served with French fries and not mashed potatoes because they were suddenly out of mashed pototoes! Server promised to remove from our bill, but only discounted 50%. All in all, a horrid experience...
Surprisingly good! We came in with no expectations but loved everything from the sandwiches and sides to the pasta and appetizers. We had to return the next day for more!
Came here with my boyfriend for a quick lunch. My boyfriend ordered the Buffalo Chicken wrap and house fries. I ordered the Turkey club and house sweet potato chips. We both really liked what we ordered, but did not enjoy what the other person got. To each his own, I guess! The buffalo chicken wrap was very flavorful though! Loved my Turkey club which was nice and light, and the sweet potato chips were delicious. We left full and happy.
Good food at a good price. But I think it is tacky to add a 4% fee for credit card use. It's 2023! Add 4% to the cost of doing business, and let your price reflect that.

As the oldest cafe in Champaign - Urbana, the vibe is very unique. It is popular for brunch and Is vegetarian friendly.
The staff offers great service.
