Just had lunch here. Great coffee! Sandwiches were very tasty, very friendly staff, nice and clean place to enjoy with my family! Will come back!

This place has ruined all other coffee places for me. I thought I knew what a latte was until I had one here. I was wrong all along.

I've had about 8 different flavored latte's from them and every single one of them is better than the last. The flavor is subtle. They are so good that next time I am going there I am trying just their espresso to see just what it is about it that I like so much!

What a lovely coffee shop with a clean, welcoming environment, friendly staff and delightful art work. I had a delious flavored latte and enjoyed the company of a friend in a pleasant and comfortable setting. I look forward to visiting again in the spring when I can take a walk along the Fox River and follow with another yummy treat at Arcedium Coffeehouse.

The bar seating is nice and gives plenty of more room to the space, however it's always lacked a friendly atmosphere that I want at a coffeeshop. Perhaps this is because the staff seem to constantly be new people and I don't like signs of high turnover. It is also confusing the first couple of times you go that the men's and women's bathrooms are in completely different directions.

I gave this place a second shot after the previous visit featured a barista who appeared angry and a long wait for coffee. At 4:30 it was not busy and I still waited an excessive time for a simple latte. When the barista did get to my coffee he prolonged my agony by having a conversation with a customer after me as my coffee apparently was sitting, needing only a lid to be finished. The mocha latte was barely warm and almost flavorless, lacking coffee or chocolate taste. The place looks wonderful, has plenty of table seating, and a neat rounded bar to sit at. If you could bring in your own coffee and not be dealt with by the staff it would be great.

I've been going to Arcedium for several years. They have nice coffee and lattes, but they are expensive. Their employees are notoriously slow, and I was very disappointed with my experience today. As a paying customer, I expect that my drinks should take priority over giving free drinks to friends. The baristas casually talked with their friend at the bar and made her drink promptly when she asked; whereas my two lattes took them 15 minutes to complete and they weren't even the correct lattes I ordered! This experience was incredibly frustrating. They really need to do a better job of training their employees.

Our favorite coffeehouse Arcedium is deteriorating. We've been coming here for the last 7 years, purchasing their expresso beans and enjoying great coffee.

That's all changed now. I am sad to say that the employees don't seem to enjoy working here and they don't seem to appreciate the customers. This used to be such a great place, they even had specials on gift cards, frequent visits, etc. Just like the good service, so went the customer value items.

I hear Graham's coffee shop in Geneva is a great place and they do value their repeat customers.

The best place to go for great coffee! They roast their own beans, and the flavors are outstanding. Grab a bag of beans to grind at home, or have a coffee drink right there. I recommend the Aztec mocha or the peppermint mocha, but there are also many other recipes to choose from.

When Arcedium first opened, it was really nice. The decor is tasteful with a huge coffee bar and a nice layout. The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable, and experienced baristas. Steadily the place has started to go downhill. The good people don't stay very long, leaving mostly rude teenagers that don't know how to mix drinks or take 10 minutes to "make" a cup of tea. The quality of the food options, drinks and staff has really declined, yet just this week they raised their prices. A cup of tea last week was 1.45, and now is 1.95. They also charge 50 cents more for iced tea. I think the place still has a lot of potential and hopefully they can find their footing again before people stop going there.
