Arbor Vitae Java & Juice

A real treasure. This tiny cafe used to be located in Downtown Naperville and now it's in NIU's Naperville campus. If you're along that corridor I highly recommend a stop here for a quick coffee or lunch. The soup and sandwich menu is amazing. Probably one of the best lentil soup and chilis I've had.

Parking can definitely be a hassle if there is a big event but for the most part, if you don't mind getting out of your car and walking, it's not a big deal. Hours can vary depending on if classes are in session or not.

A great place to grab a snack, enjoy a casual lunch, or meet for coffee, Arbor Vitae offers a range of healthy yet delicious options that are great for dining in or enjoying on the go. Healthier fare than your typical coffee shop, with a lot of earth-friendly choices and several exotic options that are fun to try.

We visited this shop on a Saturday when not much else was going on. Service was amazing! The owner was very hospitable and offered us hummus while we waited for our food. So accommodating, and the food and coffee were delicious.

Excellent soup. My favorite is their chicken marsala. Best soup I've ever had. And the nicest man runs it. Great place for soup, sandwiches, espresso.
