The Cha Cha Adventures

I came here to buy cookies from a Girl Scout troop. I love that they allow them to use the space to sell. That was one redeeming factor; the other redeeming factor was that the coffee was excellent.
My issue was when I went up to order a coffee to support the business, too, the service was subpar (not friendly, does it hurt to give a smile?), the pasties were $7 each (more than the coffee), they don’t offer decaf (I love coffee but should not have caffeine), and they don’t accept cash. What place wants to be charged a fee from the credit card company for a $5 coffee? I was not impressed and I probably won’t go back. What a shame. If they were friendly, I probably would go back; the coffee was that good.

The Banana Danish stroked my soul🫠. I didn't even need a coffee the music had me popped🤪. Had to make sure that I was behaving though 😶‍🌫️.

P.s. 💚(mental health awareness)
🤎(brown sugar babez love)

Drip Coffee was mediocre. No pour over available. No pastries available (at least not today.)

Was visiting Chicago for a wedding and staying in a hotel in Magnificent Mile, but I was recommended this coffee shop from a friend and had to try it! I am glad I made the trip!!

Had a matcha latte with a toasted coconut ube donut. The matcha latte was perfect, not too sweet, smooth matcha taste and nice creaminess.

The ube donut was warm, moist, and absolutely delicious. Decor was great here too and love their mission to support local artists and creators.

I will be back!!

Okay, coolest space, Danny from Botz Coffee was there being super cool. Great vibes, perfect coffee. Encourage you to come down, with a book, have a coffee, enjoy the space.

Strong and bold coffee that made for an excellent latte. The space is small but has lots of seating and some large tables too. I will have to try the matcha drinks next time, the looked delicious.

Iced Manila Matcha (matcha latte w/ ube syrup & macadamia milk) and the Sampaguita Boba (cold brewed jasmine tea, ube, black sugar tapioca pearls, milk) were both delicious. Highly recommend either if available - the boba drink is only a available on the weekend.

I really do like this place but $7.20 before tip for a regular iced coffee is a little crazy to me! It’s a nice treat once a month or so for me.

Where do I begin.... this place honestly has everything right. I split my time between NYC and Chicago so I have experienced some amazing coffee shops and coffee. Ran into Side Practice while in Chicago for business and was very pleasantly surprised. Outside of AMAZING staff, delicious unique coffee options, yummy food, and awesome layout/styling the concept is inspirational. Side Practice is a coffee shop that displays and gives a space for local artists to show off and sell their side practices. As a business owner in Chicago and NYC I am always looking for ways to promote other creatives and entrepreneurs and Side Practice refreshingly has found a beautiful way to do this. Check these guys out and support some local talent while at it! God knows we need more love and places like Side Practice these days.

Picture of tita ubaekery's popup at side project. Big fan of this coffee shop with so many things to like. Starting off with the coffee: quality, fresh roasted beans from local roasters. Unique and delicious signature drinks with an Asian spin: ube and matcha latte, champorado mocha, banana milk latte, all are so good. The donuts! Miso honey potato donut from downstate donuts are so good. Super cool place with a unique mission to highlight small businesses. New favorite coffeeshop.
